About this deal

I am looking to buy a new Nespresso machine and am deciding between the Creatista Pro and Creatista Plus. I am coming from the Prodigio & Milk, so looking forward to the milk steamer! These are the most sought after type of coffee machine that Sage manufactures and have cemented their place as home coffee machine giants. The Sage Nespresso Creatista Plus is the most popular espresso machine out of the three. This machine may look identical to the Creatista Pro but there are a few key differences: Design Having said that, given that this is a Nespresso original machine – if you want a big strong cup of coffee as opposed to a big weak cup, you'll still have re-load the machine with two or more pods, as I do when I'm using Nespresso machines. It's clearly been designed to look like a traditional lever espresso machine, and the top of the brew nozzle looks like an E61 group, which I'm sure isn't an accident.

The programmability is where the Sage precision drip coffee maker really justifies the price tag though. It's also great for home use in terms of size and noise, as it's very slim and short, it's really quiet and the pump doesn't make the entire machine shake as is common with pod machines. The Creatista Pro has a larger color HD touchscreen, whereas the Creatista Plus uses a monochromatic HD screen with a button and a knob.

We are continually making improvements to our tests. We last changed our test programme in April 2023 which means that, if you’re looking at results for coffee machines tested before and after this date, they will not be directly comparable. Go with the Creatista Plus if you want a nicer-looking (and more durable) stainless steel machine with the digital LCD display.

Is the Nespresso Creatista Pro for you?

At this price point, you might expect some form of automation when loading a Nespresso capsule but in fact it’s just a flip-up lever like that fitted to pretty much every other Nespresso machine on the market. To use, simply drop in a capsule, pull down the lever and it’s ready to go. When you lift the lever, the used pod is ejected into the admittedly smallish catchment drawer below. A large removable two-litre water tank sits at the rear. The Creatista series features Nespresso's top-of-the-line offerings with three models to choose from: The Sage Nespresso Creatista Uno is the entry-level product in the Creatista line. This means that it’s the cheapest out of the three but still does an excellent job at brewing beverages: Design I'm covering both original Nespresso, and Vertuo in this best Nespresso machine post (original first, then Vertuo) after all, they're both Nespresso machines.

It then spins up, adjusting even the slightest settings, to extract the hidden treasures of each capsule. To give each blend its own coffee. A couple of other things to consider is that there is a lot more choice when it comes to Nespresso's original machines, and it's not quite the same coffee. Nespresso Vertuo is a completely different concept from Nespresso Original. So does this machine offer good value? Yes, if you value compactness and the convenience of pod coffee machines and you want the best of the best Nespresso can offer. The Nespresso Creatista Uno, a new addition to the Nespresso Original Line range, is an intuitive machine that allows you to create 8 barista-quality espresso and milk recipes at the touch of a button. It has a premium design and finishing to help personalise your favourite coffee occasion. Create Cafe Quality Micro Foam Has led them to engineering coffee machines that produce high quality coffee with easy to use adjustments. The Vertuo pods have barcodes on them that tell the machine how much water to deliver (depending on how much ground coffee is in the pod) giving the user a good range of sizes, from Espresso all the way to “Alto” which is just over 400ml, or just under 14 ounces, a pretty big cup of coffee. Nespresso's original machines are coffee machines that produce a short espresso-style shot of coffee, but technically speaking it's not actually espresso.

A Nespresso “espresso” is similar to a true espresso, but it's not quite the same. It differs in ratio (coffee to water), brew temperature, and brew pressure, and the resulting drink is different. Éric Favre's Nespresso Prototype.

Steam the milk by filling the jug up to the bottom of the spout and texturing until the milk becomes warm. A Sage Espresso Machine is for those that want to make ‘coffee shop coffee’ at home. It’s not a push of a button coffee, so if you’re the sort to grab and go in the morning this may not be for you. This instance also fits folks who like to brew in various methods and therefor need a separate grinder for pour over and espresso.
