Typically, products with this capability and price point come along well after a technology or standard has matured. So the fact this is already here at this price is simply bonkers! Convert HDMI to/from SDI in both directions simultaneously, and scale either the HDMI or SDI input in the process. An optional fibre interface allows the module to be used for monitoring fibre connections and also function as a SDI to fibre converter. When a fibre transceiver option is fitted the module may be used with either an electrical SDI input or a fibre input signal, selected by a DIP switch. The module will provide both a fibre and electrical SDI output of the selected input signal as well as the HDMI output. SDI video connects long distances up to 100m, so you can connect everyone together in your facility. Cables are simple BNC coax cables so you can easily make cables to the perfect length for your needs. NDI is a royalty-free protocol released in 2015 that enables devices to send and receive compressed video, audio, and ancillary data over a LAN. For the rare situations where you need to reliably convert SDI to VGA, this is a low-key converter that just works. Optional accessories: Fibre transmitter SFP module to provide an SDI output over fibre.
