About this deal

Cold Ham: Despite his calm demeanor and subdued voice, practically every line of dialog that comes out of him is an over the top Badass Boast. Authority Sounds Deep: Has a deep, commanding, echoing voice, and is clearly one of the powerhouses of Eggman's army. Red Eyes, Take Warning: Subverted. He appears to have red sclera, but Episode Shadow reveals that it's just the red-tinted glass of the mask. His sclera is actually white.

While Sonic Forces is one of the darker Sonic games to date, it still has some lighthearted scenes at times. Any scene involving Infinite, however, is utterly devoid of humor or levity. Notably, he is one of the few Sonic villains to be explicitly seen killing people onscreen. Greed: Infinite also has a desire for raw power and domination, both to sate his desires of making others suffer and for the glory of becoming the most powerful warrior who ever lived. Psychopathic Manchild: Pretty much the definition of the trope. His whole motivation basically boils down to him throwing a massive tantrum over being humiliated by Shadow. Villain Song: Has one that can be heard here , which goes out of its way to describe just how dangerous and powerful he is and how he'll destroy anything in his way. More Despicable Minion: While Dr.Eggman is, as usually, somewhat comical and buffoonish, Infinite is just a murderous tyrant with no funny moments.Mr. Unknown from Mystic Cave Zone by RetroOwl on DeviantArt. DeviantArt. Archived from the original on 30 October 2015. Retrieved on 21 December 2021. Ax-Crazy: He hides it well, but it's pretty clear that Infinite is quite unhinged underneath it all, as he relishes in causing death and destruction. In the final issue of the tie-in comic, when Infinite strikes the Phantom Ruby with his sword, he's shown what he desires most: a desolate, destroyed world, implying that he was crazy even before he gained the Ruby's power. Unwitting Pawn: Infinite thinks he's a lot higher on the totem pole than he actually is and the more important one in him and Eggman's relationship. In reality, Infinite is little more than a disposable pawn that Eggman already has a replacement ready for and can get rid of with casual ease when he feels like it. Infinite doesn't realize Eggman has played him like a fiddle the entire time until Eggman decides You Have Failed Me after one screw up too many. Chekhov's Gun: During his fight with Silver, Infinite drops one of the Phantom Ruby prototypes he was supposed to destroy. The Avatar would later find that same prototype, allowing them to survive Infinite's illusion during their fight with him, and allowing them to ultimately foil Eggman's plan to destroy the Resistance with a virtual sun. The first screenshot used for the Volcanic Tunnel's profile shows the opening cutscene for Tails Adventure instead.

Living Shadow: He resembles one quite well, especially when his Battle Aura is activated, and bears some similarities to Blaze's concept art ◊. Dive deep into the extensive lore and exhaustive detail of each game in Sonic's ever-expanding universe--from the beloved SEGA Genesis to the most bleeding-edge video game consoles. This tome leaves no stone unturned, showcasing in-depth looks at the characters, settings, and stories from each exciting installment! Dark Horse Books and SEGA present the Sonic the Hedgehog Encyclo-Speed-ia--a must-have volume for any fan of Sonic, young or old"Recurring Boss: You fight Infinite three times throughout the game. The first fight is with Sonic, the second fight is with the Avatar, and the final battle is with Sonic and the Avatar together. Can be seen as one to the Avatar. The Avatar's fellow soldiers were killed by Infinite, and since then, they have developed a fear of him, something Infinite uses to torment them. However, some encouragement from Sonic helps the Avatar to conquer their fear of him and help Sonic take him down for good.

The Starscream: Subverted. While Infinite does disagree with Eggman at times, he remains loyal (or at least subservient) to him to the end. However, given that Eggman had full control of the Phantom Ruby and could recall it at any time, it's likely that Infinite wouldn't have had a say in the matter. Sonic Adventure 2 / Sonic Adventure 2: Battle: A summarization of Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. The description for Twinkle Circuit claims that this Action Stage must be completed before Sonic can access Twinkle Park. In reality, Twinkle Circuit is an optional Action Stage for Sonic.Ice Paradise's section is erroneously accompanied by two screenshots of Ice Mountain Zone from Sonic Advance. Apocalypse How: He nearly pulls off a Class 6 when he tries to erase the resistance by dropping a construct of the sun onto them. Sanity Has Advantages: While Infinite is extremely dangerous, he's also clearly an insane sadist. This screws over him and Eggman on several occasions, as he prioritizes his sadism over pragmatism.

Mineral MacGuffin: He has some relation to the mysterious purple gemstone that is referred to as the "Phantom Ruby" by an in-game guide that everyone was after in Sonic Mania, implied by the sound it makes. The game reveals that the Ruby was given to him by Eggman. Sonic Official (2016-present) · Sonic Station Live! (2020-present) · Sonic Central (2021-present) · TailsTube (2022-present) · Sonic & Friends Psycho for Hire: He's a Sadist who really enjoys his work as Eggman's Dragon. He also really enjoyed being a mercenary and willingly joined Eggman. Deconstructed to a degree, as his sadism is a Fatal Flaw that ultimately bites him and Eggman in the end and causes him to make mistakes that even Eggman realizes were blunders.

Evil Counterpart: Infinite is a dark foil to the Avatar, making the conflict of Forces less of a battle between Sonic and Eggman and more of a match between their allies. Eviler than Thou: Asserts that he sees himself as this compared to Eggman. Eggman later reveals he had no intention of Infinite being his end goal and already had a replacement prepared from square one in the form of his final mecha. When Infinite fails one time too many, Eggman disposes of him and takes his place without a second thought. The section erroneously claims that to access one of the game's Special Stages, the player must reach the end of an Act while holding one hundred Rings. In the game, the player is automatically warped to a Special Stage upon collecting one hundred Rings. However, regardless of how the player leaves the Special Stage, the Act that they entered from will be ended and they will begin the next Act instead.
