About this deal

All the attachments are dishwasher safe and they, along with the large bowl, are all very easy to clean. Speaking of the large mixing bowl, the entire appliance is fairly big. While we'd assume that most people (including us) don't mind leaving the kMix on show, some people will want to store it away rather than keep it out on a worktop at all times - however, the sheer size of the KMX760 makes that fairly difficult unless you have a lot of spare space in a cupboard. It has ergonomically designed easy fit attachment outlets and controls that are easily placed at the front side of the machine. Is Kmix Dishwasher Safe? Kneading – Starting with butter and flour at minimum speed, then adding other ingredients and finally kneading at speed setting 2, the mixer produced a nicely kneaded dough in only 6 minutes. However, 2 minutes at setting 2 didn’t distribute dried fruit entirely evenly.

The beater, called the K beater (with a notable K shape incorporated in the design), balloon whisk and dough hook are all stainless steel and feel durable. We found the K beater particularly useful considering we bake cakes more than anything else, although you'll need to find somewhere to store the fairly large accessories, they didn't fit in our utensils drawer. splash guard with a pouring chute so that you are able to put ingredients without stopping the kMix. The innovative electrical speed control guarantees you smoothly and carefully make as much as the preferred speed without resulting in spillage of the bowl contents. A good stand mixer is a kitchen essential for anyone who regularly makes cakes, batters or breads. Even if you’re a beginner, a well-equipped mixer can do wonders for your baking repertoire. It saves you a lot of time and, in the case of batch baking and bread making, can often do a much better job than your own hands. This covers the mixing bowl to avoid ingredients flying away and also spattering you during mixing.

Helpful for blending soup or smoothies – some can crush ice. Food processor attachment Could be connected to your stand mixer to enable you to slice or even grate ingredients. The KMIX 750 has 1.3kg dough capacity and 2.7kg cake mix capacity, the kMix 750 Stand Mixer from Kenwood provides a welcome helping hand in all kitchens. Because of smart speed control this particular mixer has the ability to provide six different speed settings with no spillage, and a distinctive fold feature which will help carefully layer ingredients providing you with total control.

Perhaps what stands out most about the kMix KMX75 is how simple it is to use – much like its sibling, the KMX760. It comes with clear, easy-to-understand instructions, which makes its a great buy for baking beginners; but how it fits together and works is fairly intuitive. If you don't already think it's smart, the Meaco dehumidifier also has a 20+ logic system, which is very useful for dehumidifier newbies who don't know how to set up their unit effectively. The feature detects if the humidity has risen 20% above what you've set it to and then temporarily boosts the fan speed to bring the humidity under control. It then reduces its speed to your previous setting, which means you get optimum results without needing to keep an eye on the settings. The splash guard is innovative and very effective, and while it's heavy, the owl means you can keep a knowing eye on your bakes as they mix. I also enjoyed the range of speeds, and how powerful they can be if you turn them up high. If you wanted to make a meringue, it would be perfect. About this review, and the reviewer

The dough hook is great for kneading bread and the manual is very helpful and easy to understand in its speed setting recommendations - along with approximate times and quantities of ingredients. If you're going to be storing your stand mixer in a cupboard, think about how heavy it is and whether or not it's easy for you to lift. I particularly liked the stainless steel beater and dough hook; the KitchenAid Artisan 4.8L Stand Mixer beater and dough hook have a white enamel coating that can chip away over time. However, unlike the main unit, there's no carry handle on the water tank - which can be a bit of a pain. Or y ou can use the supplied hose for continuous drainage rather than faffing about emptying the tank. After the Zambezi is turned off, the fan will run for about 10 minutes (which confused us at first). This is to ensure the heating element cools down fully, which extends the lifespan of the device. Smart stuff... I would say it’s a toss between the 754 and Kmix760. They both have a glass bowl which though a bit heavy is quite helpful when baking because it gives you the chance to monitor the mixing in time. They both have pulse function which gives you maximum flexibility and control over the rate at which you can mix the ingredients.

When choosing a stand mixer, there are several features you should consider before parting with your hard-earned cash.

Soft-start Even if you start the mixer on top speed, it will speed up slowly and gently to keep your ingredients inside the bowl. The warranty is five years old.6 speeds and also fold option. The 1000W Power enables you to comfortably manage even the most difficult of doughs. The KMix still looks and can feel as a high-quality mixer. Weighing in at 10.9kg, it is quite a hefty appliance. Size-wise it comes in at 240 x 385 x 355mm (WDH), and it needs a good bit of room. While the metallic lower half of the machine is matte, the gold top is super-shiny, attracting smudges – which isn’t entirely good form for an appliance that’s likely to encounter greasy hands. The same goes for the 5l stainless steel bowl, but the shininess here is pretty standard among all stand mixers. Dishwasher safe parts K Beater, dough hook and whisk offer you the versatility to produce a selection of meals. This may not be a problem if you don’t need to remove the splashguard during mixing. But if you want to have a better look at what’s going on in the bowl – or, in my case, take photos – it may prove annoying to have to remove the tool that may be covered in batter. The sturdy machine will no doubt handle anything you can throw at it, but does its performance - and the shiny metallic finish - justify the premium price for this Chrome Collection kMix? What's it like?
