Walter, the T-Rex isn’t a carnivorous predator like its prehistoric relative, but you can bet he is always on the hunt for hugs. He is the fiercest snuggler in all the land. With a manageable size of 11 inches, this cretaceous-era cutie is the perfect buddy to take on any adventure. Herbert Art Gallery & Museum is an award-winning gallery and museum situated in the cultural heart of Coventry. The Herbert has a large and wide-ranging collection including social history, archaeology, natural history and art. There are around 6,000 works in the Herbert's visual arts collection, the earliest of which is an Elizabethan portrait attributed to Lucas de Heere. British life and landscape feature in canvases by LS Lowry, Stanley Spencer, David Bomberg, Paul Nash and George Shaw. The Gallery collects new and recent art in a variety of media and styles, currently developing a collection of art on the themes of conflict, peace and reconciliation. Temporary exhibition spaces have hosted collections from museums nationally and internationally. The Herbert recently underwent a vast redevelopment in preparation for Coventry UK City of Culture, enabling the gallery to display more works and major world-class exhibitions. Dippy the dinosaur is a life-size, plaster-of-paris replica of a Diplodocus carnegii skeleton. Diplodocus carnegii lived during the Late Jurassic period, about 145 – 155 million years ago and their skeletons have been found in North America. Dippy the iconic Diplodocus is heading to Coventry. The Jurassic giant will be taking residency at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum from Monday, February 20. Discover fun facts about Dippy, the Nation’s favourite dinosaur from the Natural History Museum, along with close encounters with fossils from our collection. This T-Rex is nothing less than incredible. They’re a little scary too! For anybody interested in recreating a semi-realistic dinosaur without any sharp edges, this project offers tons of customizability and a fully-fledged inner skeleton so they can be put on display as well.

Emmett is an adorable little (big) dinosaur. He is just over 6 feet long and the perfect stuffed buddy to cuddle with while reading a good book or watching TV. His head is made just the right size for a pillow and a high-density foam is used so the little ones can ride on him without worrying about squishing his stuffing. While this pattern is large, it is not that complex.
