About this deal

Lowland tequilas are grown and produced deep in the Tequila Valley outside of the cities of Tequila and Guadalajara, while highland (Los Altos) tequilas come from higher-altitude regions surrounding the valleys. The tasting differences are relatively subtle, but experts note that highland tequilas are more floral, while lowland tequilas are more vegetal and herbal. Tequila used to be made with something called the ancient Tahona process, wherein heartless tequila distillers force a donkey to drag a massive volcanic stone over agave hearts prior to cooking and distilling them. (We assume that donkey hates his life.) Patrón still goes old-school, although they give the donkeys a break and use machinery to drag massive, specially sculpted stones across their agave hearts, yielding a unique vegetal taste that they then mix with a portion of citrusy tequila made with the modern Roller Mill method. You have one guy to thank for that smooth, smooth balance. Whether you’re a seasoned enthusiast or just dipping your toes into this world, I invite you to join me as we explore the fascinating realm of these legendary spirits. Using 100% naturally perfect ingredients — agave, water and yeast — Patrón El Alto is naturally smooth and sweet with subtle notes of figs, honey, caramel, dried fruit and vanilla. The sweet, dried fruit notes of Patrón El Alto are a result of having been expertly aged in 11 types of barrels, mostly hybrid barrels of American oak body and French oak heads. Patron is a legit brand free of additives making it the only major Tequila brand that refrains from such questionable practice. Patron El Alto: Specs Type of Tequila

Casa Obsidiana pays tribute to the obsidian stone found in abundance nestled among the volcanic earth where its agave plants are grown and harvested, as it has been used in Mexican culture and rituals for thousands of years and is known to cleanse oneself of negative influences. The stone is dark in colour to make space for light, passion, and positive intention within us.

Few of my favorite things. My tequila and fishing on my farm. I’ve been raising my fish for years now and I got some aggressive fatties roaming these waters – largemouth bass, stripped bass, various sunnies, carp and after my 5th glass of tequila, I start seeing the pink dolphins. 6’6 medium/heavy action, 10lb test, 1/2oz spinner w/ a white skirt ~ if you know, you know. Cheers my friends 🥃🎣 #mykindofheaven Olmeca Altos was founded by two world famous bartenders, Dre Masso and the late Henry Besant, along with master distiller Jesus Hernandez. Their goal was to create an affordable and sustainable tequila for both bartenders and tequila enthusiasts. And they have a simple line of only three tequilas: Olmeca Alto Plata, Olmeca Alto Reposado and Olmeca Alto Anejo. Cristalino tequilas continue to see significant growth as tequila enthusiasts seek premium offerings with unique finishing and ageing features,” said Alex Coronado, Head of Production and Master Distiller for Reserva de la Familia. “Reserva de la Familia Añejo Cristalino Organico embodies everything that makes Cristalino tequilas so dynamic. Often labeled as “blanco” or “plata,” silver tequila is typically unaged and is clear as a result. Many tout silver tequila as agave’s most undiluted expression and the best measure of a brand’s range. Gold tequila, often labeled as “joven” or “oro,” is also typically unaged, though can include a blend of unaged and aged tequilas. In some cases, gold tequilas get their color from the addition of caramel colorings and other flavors. What are the best-selling tequilas?

PATRÓN ELEVATES ITS OFFERINGS WITH THE LAUNCH OF PATRÓN EL ALTO

When it comes to the palate, El Alto provides a smooth and oily texture, enhancing the overall drinking experience. Casa Obsidiana Añejo: An ode to Mexican cubism, the Casa Obsidiana Añejo bottle’s rich red colour represents the iron-rich volcanic earth of its estate agave fields. The Añejo is aged for 15 months and has an aroma of oak, coffee, clove, and candied citrus. Tasting notes include butterscotch, cinnamon, raisins, and roasted agave. As interest in tequila spikes, conversations surrounding production techniques and ingredients are also gaining importance. Bottles made with additives and/or using corner-cutting equipment simply don’t cut it among modern-day bartenders and agave aficionados. agave Tequila is incredibly low in sugars making it the best liquor when counting calories. Does Patron El Alto use additives?
