The game begins with allowing the main player to create their own avatar from six monsters: a combination of mash-up monster, vampire, werewolf, mummy, zombie, and gorgon.

The DS and DSi versions are identical, but the DSi version allows the player to take a photo of themself and use it to customize the avatar around. It’s got very simple controls, it’s easy to learn and I never had a real problem with it except for a ramp in one level that I could never actually clear. Diehard Monster High fans will be able to overlook the sup-par visuals and just be happy to play a Monster High game. The characters were interesting and cute, there was always something new to do and I was surprised that it only took me four hours as it felt like ten hours or so of content. The Wii version allows up to three players, I'm told, but the DS version lacks any support for that.Relay has you do a race, but each lap is completed by a different monster high character , so pick your favorite team of three here. Move your Wiimote cursor to the bottom of the screen to use either your diary (change the episode you are using as your main quest), ICoffin (phone), Purse (see what items are being carried) and Map. I do wish you could save between races in Race mode as four to six races in a row without stopping is a lot. So there’s lot of dialogue options in this regard, even if it’s friends just giving each other good natured ribbing.

It’s fun for what it is and it was cute enough that I didn’t mind the cakewalking, so actual Monster High fans will enjoy it even more.
