The first story, Lovesickness, started out intriguing with the unique concept where people follow this new trend where they stand on a street corner and wait for the first person to walk by and ask them to tell their fortune. Finally three unrelated stories - The mansion of phantom pain and the rib woman easily being the highlight of the entire volume. With the whole city in an uproar, a smug Midori tells him that the authorities are all looking for Ryuusuke, believing that he is the Intersection Bishounen. At the Crossroads: The fortune-telling is practiced at these, and often, life-changing questions are asked there.

Midori then tells him that she notices he gets agitated when the subject of intersection fortune telling comes up. The art has so much depth and he is able to transition to just bonkers intense horrifying scenes and concepts after filling you with dread (see Alexander's excellent review for examples of the art). Fan Mob: A very twisted case with the boy at the crossroads and the girls he has told will not find love. After an evening of hunting for the Intersection Bishounen, Ryuusuke comes home to find the woman in his bedroom. Every sibling gave off an uneasy vibe, and watching each one of them unfold until they displayed their psychotic side had me on the edge.

They notice that it appears the aura has gotten more tense, and Mitsuru notes that the ghosts of the girls will soon come out to ask their fortunes.

I think that Ito's best works are really his shorter stories because they have to be succint and really drive a horrifying point home in a short amount of time, and the ones that have several 'chapters' are never as good to me and seem to wander and ramble slightly.r/junjiito is dedicated to legendary award-winning horror mangaka Junji Itō (伊藤潤二) and friends like Kazuo Umezz (楳図かずお), Hideshi Hino (日野日出志), and other horror mangaka. Sadly, some of those children have also been committing suicide - supposedly after having their fortunes told by an ethereal, dark haired, beautiful boy. Now that she's covered in tattoos and on the run from the police, she has some big problems,but comes to the conclusion that she must find a bigger problem to get rid of the current ones.
