The MX Master 3 has a built-in non-accessible battery that offers up to 70 days of usage on a full charge. Restoring defaults at "System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Keyboard" didn't do it for me, but resetting "System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts -> Mission Control" did take care of it. You can use the Logitech Options to add specific controls to an application you use often, or to customize the buttons your way.Thankfully, Options+ is a Universal app (good news for M1 Mac users), while the old Options app is Intel-only and runs under Rosetta emulation. Your MX keyboard follows your Flow technology-enabled MX mouse from one Mac computer or laptop to another, meaning you can work on multiple Mac computers in one fluid workflow. Since most devices use USB-C these days, I don’t need to have another cable lying around to charge the mouse. However for the Mini, if you do not have the unifying receiver plugged in OR a wired keyboard laying around, or you are stubborn like me and believe you should not have to plug in the accompanying Logitech provided usb-c into the MX devices and then into your Mac to unlock it.

Where the thumb sits there’s a sidewheel and a forward and back button, and right at the top there’s a clever scroll wheel and button, which we’ll explain a bit more about later. Again, like many features of this mouse, it’s a clever, thoughtful design that with a bit of practice you’ll end up using far more subconsciously than you’d expect.

A good mouse often has well-thought-out and considered ergonomics too, which means that hand strain and repetitive injuries can be minimised.
