We’ve branched out and started working with other organizations to provide in-depth product reviews and family events like “Sensory Friendly Films”. I was diagnosed as being on the Spectrum at age 29 after years of wondering why I felt so different from everyone else. I appreciate a lot of the topics discussed as well as the intersectionality which I think is really important. Many of the contributions focus on themes of self-acceptance and self-care, and this is exactly what autistic people need to hear, over and over again, after enduring a lifetime of harmful messages.By seeing the different elements of a conversation presented visually, some of the more abstract aspects of social communication (such as recognising the feelings of others) are made more 'concrete' and are therefore easier to understand.
