There are a couple more appearances in this book mostly because of the tie in to Crisis on Infinite Earth, we see Batman, Cain, Abel, Doctor Fate, Zattana and a couple of Moore's favorites like Deadman, The Phantom Stranger and Etrigan. The artwork is next-level in its beauty and intricacy—insert “frame or tattoo this artwork comment” here. There was so much that happened in this trade but I don’t want this review to be too long so I’ll try and keep it brief.

They printed the series on gloss paper so the colors are super vibrant compared to the old newspaper pages. It really only salvaged five stars in the final arc, which was just too well told to be anything less than full marks. I knew before going in that this run spawned the publishing offspring Vertigo into being and man, what a start. I dislike Stephen Bisette's way of portraiting shadows, using straight lines, and the faces and some panels are inconsistent.

I always enjoy reading an author and seeing similar ideas get played out - noticing the changes and enhancements, like he's got this idea and keeps trying to perfect it. So yeah, up until now, I've managed to not read Saga of the Swamp Thing, cause you can only read it once, and I'm fast running out of Alan Moore things to read for the first time. Packed with some of the best issues of the run so far I’m looking forward to how this epic saga is going to wrap up.

There is not much I can say more about this edition and only I can say - it's highly recommended read!

Something I would'nt recommend to a friend because my guess is they would judge it to be confusing and silly. But then along comes a knight in dirty, plant encrusted armor (and probably not smelling too good either I imagine). En cuanto al apartado artístico, tiene ese característico estilo clásico que contrasta el negro con colores semi-planos, exceptuando en la portada del tomo y en algunas otras portadas. And just like I was saying on my last Swamp Thing review, it’s mighty hard to put a new spin onto something that you didn’t create.

He has also written a novel, Voice of the Fire, and performs "workings" (one-off performance art/spoken word pieces) with The Moon and Serpent Grand Egyptian Theatre of Marvels, some of which have been released on CD.
