About this deal

My hyundai elantra developed a really bad leak after a lousy job done by the mechanic, which he didn't wanna own up ! Based on the reviews of these two men whose advice I trust, I thought I would gamble on the ATP AT-205. Some of the more knowledgeable people on this board have commented that 'regular' oil even has a certain amount of seal conditioners in them, which is required by the guidelines it must meet. After 2 days of just under driving a total of 4 hours, there was still a sign of leaking but it did not look like oil but rather the APT AT-205 on the ground. He either hates Nissans or loves Volvos or thinks electric cars are trash or moans about transverse mounted engines.

Now, of course, it's not going to repair a damaged seal, but I'm curious if any of you have had any experience with it. It's also good for rubber seals like o-rings, intake gaskets probably (wish I had known this when I changed my spark plugs), suspension bushings, and transmission seals. My gear box condition was getting bad to worst worst where I can’t engage in forward once a while and constantly unable to engage in reverse gear. compass mirror retrofit, trailer hitch retrofit, Prodigy P2 trailer brake controller installed, PDC retrofit, Lumbar support retrofit. Put 1 bottle in the rear end differential so attempt to stop a very minor leak around the pinion seal.I let the car sit for a week trying to see if any valve would leak past the seal, started the car up, zero smoke. I realise there's no substitute for replacing a faulty or worn seal, however as a 'quick fix', is this stuff any good?

Then you can drive it for small periods of time and eventually cumulatively to 5 hours so the full treatment is done. Gas consumption was on the high end, but since I floored the gas pedal uphill dozen of times, I can hardly blame the car. AT-205 Re-Seal additive from ATP stops seal leaks in your engine, transmission, differential, and hydraulic systems (except for the brakes). If you do start having some drips here and there, then go to a high mileage motor oil which contains a higher concentration of seal conditioners than non-high mileage motor oil. It never dripped on the driveway, never saw wetness going further down underneath of the car yet after wiping, it always came back after a drive. If you will keep an eye on your leak let us know how soon it took effect, that is if it does work for your leak.

Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH).PAO has lower Noack Volatilty(Noack Rest determines a lube's evap loss at high temps) than the mineral based lower groups. Not sure if it has been leaking or if it was from when my car overheated briefly last week when the coolant tank broke. But after the specially persuaded me to try out this additive as the most if it does not work out the most I can still go ahead to overhaul my gear box. ATP AT-205 - seems like a good idea but it didn't work for me - that doesn't mean it won't work for you, I just thought I had nothing to lose - the leak is still there and about the same as it was before I used it - there is no promise that this will work - it even says on the bottle, it it still leaks after 5 hours of use, you should seek out a professional auto tech.
