It’s a quadruple distilled, three-time filtered vodka, and is produced at the Hiram Walker and Sons distillery in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

Immediately seeing it as a sign, one of our explorers gathered a team of scientists to go to the site. In Mamont’s production, the finest Siberian white winter wheat is first selected and carefully fermented then blended with water from the Altai Mountain springs, renowned throughout Russia for its purity. Superbly luxurious expressive vodka, smoky citrus notes, meet vanilla and coconut, ripe stone and tropical fruit. Enjoyable chilled and sipped neat, or as the base to a variety of cocktails such as ‘The Imperial Mamont’ (recipe below), or a classic Dry Martini. Sublimely Autumnal; earthy sweet soft clods of steamy cooked vegetal aromas laced with rich velvety asparagus, agave and white pepper.And as if the tusk shaped bottle isn’t enough of a homage to the mammoth, Siberian cedar nuts are added to the vodka – the favourite food of the Yukagir mammoth.

To honour this unbelievable adventure and the heritage found in Siberia, one of the 12 explorers brought MAMONT Vodka to life in the shape of a mammoth tusk; the «MAMONT» word being the translation of «Mammoth» in Russian language. Clean citrus notes and a touch of orange oil and rosewater on the palate, ripe fecund fruit and flowers, laced with cotton candy. Made from rye, it has a creaminess on the palate with notes of vanilla and white pepper along the edge giving it a spicy boost on the finish.The immediate sweetness is also joined by some light caramel, nougat and marshmallow notes, complete with a whisper of banana. Seasoned with delicately nuanced notes of cherry, malted vanilla, stone fruit, and even a dusting of chocolate. While waiting for a rescue team in the deep Antarctic cold, they began warming themselves up with vodka and started planning their next expedition: the discovery of the Great Mammoth in Siberia.
