About this deal

There’s just something about that combination of a good quality gin base, paired with a fresh and delicious mixer — which is why the classic gin and tonic is one of the most popular drinks around the world. Egg white foam on top gives it an elegant look, and a medicine dropper gives it a little vampire flair for a Halloween party! You could even take the spring off of a Hawthorne cocktail strainer and place the spring inside the shaker to have a similar effect. You'll need a cocktail shaker and strainer for this cocktail, especially if you want the foam on top. As we did last year, we steeped whole bunches of the Underhill fruit in Rare Dry Gin which had by this point spent two years ageing in Yarra Yering Dry Red barrels.

Mix a full bottle of Bandwagon Dry with 700ml cold mineral spring water (chilled filtered tap water works well too) and 250ml elderflower cordial in a carafe or jug. You may not have heard of a Floradora cocktail before – and that’s ok, we’re not here to make you feel bad! The sweetness of our Bloody Shiraz Gin is balanced by the tangy zest of lime juice, while the Maraschino liqueur adds a touch of sophistication to the mix. A piece of lemon peel squeezed over top of the drink will help to keep the drink smelling fresh if it needs to sit out for a few minutes.Four Pillars takes their gin seriously, in fact, they take their gin so seriously that they don’t make anything else. Some non-alcoholic spirits fall short in terms of heat and mouthfeel, elements that are difficult to create without the use of alcohol. Embrace the cold with the Four Pillars Winter Fiz cocktail, a harmonious blend of flavors that captures the spirit of the season. They’ve also added a little weight to the mouthfeel by adding natural fructose that is found in plants.

For the release of our 2023 Limited Edition Bloody Shiraz Gin, we came up with even bloody more gin cocktail recipes because let’s face it, you can never have too many! The story goes that the drink came into being after one of the stars of the show refused to drink anything unless it was something brand new. Cool climate shiraz grapes are soaked in Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin gin for eight weeks, at which point they're pressed to release the naturally purple gin, more Rare Dry Gin is then added to bring the gin up to bottling strength. Four Pillars’ cult-favourite Bloody Shiraz Gin is the perfect, and perhaps an unusual, choice ingredient to use in a gin sour cocktail recipe. So after making it once, and it selling out pretty bloody quicky, the inevitable question was raised.A very sippable spirit with a lovely, dry finish; you could use this instead of a sloe gin, either sipped neat or served in a Long Peddlar. This non-alcoholic gin features aromas of orange and lemon myrtle, along with notes of spice on the palate. We are sure that the man himself, the father of the bartending, “Professor” Jerry Thomas, the author of one of the first cocktail recipe books, included it in his Bon Vivant’s Companion, published in 1877!
