If staff do not see a Blackboard module or course which they should be on they should ask their colleagues that own the site to add them. For a preview of what is going to be available, please watch our video orientation of the landing page and navigation ( student video ; staff video). Advent is the first Semester/Trimester of the academic year, while Easter is the second Semester/Trimester and Trinity the third Trimester. All Blackboard sites for modules and courses after this date will be in the Ultra format (providing a more accessible, responsive and intuitive environment).
They define the basis of the contractual agreement between you as the student and us as the University. Where access is going to be slightly later, we are working with course teams to ensure your learning and teaching is not affected. In MyRecord, you can access personalised information about your studies; for example, you can use MyRecord to look up your course code (making it simpler to look up your course timetable on UniTimetables) and see which academic calendar you're on (so you can look up key dates for your course including teaching start and finish dates, and when you should expect to take your their end-of-module exams/assessments).It’s important you read them carefully so you understand the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that are in place to help ensure all students are treated fairly. Once you've registered, you can check your start date in MyRecord under 'Your Course Details'; in most cases, it's also listed in your Course Essentials. Please take a moment to hover and select the pencil icon that appears next to certain fields, such as; your profile image, pronunciations, pronouns and notifications. It is a personal and private tool that can be used to support learning and professional development.
Once you are fully or temporarily registered, you are eligible for your student smartcard (some exceptions apply). If you cannot see a course you think you should be added to, please contact your course team who can add it for you. By 'Department', UniTimetables means the School or Centre that teaches your course or select ‘BA/BSc Combined Honours if you’re studying a combined course. Submission to Turnitin must be in a single file, therefore your front cover sheet, assignment and bibliography/appendix must be combined into a single file.However, if your course isn't able to provide you with a personalised timetable you can go to MyTimetable to build your own.

There must be a separate folder for final submissions for each assessment using Turnitin, within which there must be separate submission points for final (on-time) and after deadline submissions. Additionally, the decision about your progression to the next level, or your eligibility for your award, is made at the end of each level of study.This Expect Respect Welcome Module will introduce you to the university and cover some important topics for student life, including building your supportive network, our Expect Respect campaign, staying safe and cultivating healthy relationships.

Selecting the Courses and Modules link from the left-hand Base Navigation menu, will display the list of courses and modules on which you are enrolled.Once your documents have been approved, your status will be updated to fully registered (if there is nothing else we need from you) or temporary registered (if you have any outstanding clearance checks).
