July 16th, 2021: Emi was mentioned in the first Season 2 episode while Sheryl Meyer is talking about her to Bella Parker. Ruby and Bella were fairly close friends before Bella's initial expulsion from Rainbow High. Along with Jade, Ruby was one of the ones most effected by Bella's leaving. Once Violet posted Bella's expulsion online and it went viral Ruby helped Jade come up with a plan to get revenge. Ruby was happy to see Bella return to Rainbow High, with Bella happily accompanying the other girls to surprise Ruby after her first shift at the Rainbow Union. Bella Parker is a 2020-introduced and all-around character. She is a student at Rainbow High that focuses in Art Direction with a special focus on Set Design. Bella has big dreams and the vision to make them come true. She's the overachiever at Rainbow High with a timeless style that's as polished as she is. Bella was made for art direction, because it combines two of her greatest strengths - creativity and perfectionism. Bella is also a natural leader at Rainbow High, because she knows how to bring out the best in all her friends. But Bella's focus and determination sometimes go too far and occasionally push her to break the rules. She and Skyler have a more casual relationship compared to the other girls, as they are roommates. In particular when Sunny first came to Rainbow High, she and Skyler worked together to cheer her up and make her feel right at home.
Having very opposing personalities and style, Jade is her closest in her friend group. With Jade advising, helping and defending her when ever the opportunity arises. When Bella wanted to risk her spot at Rainbow High for a competition to have a summer internship with Ramona Barnes, Jade talks her out of it. The following night when Bella can't sleep Jade keeps her distracted by taking her around the school. However Bella betrays Jade's trust and enters the competition anyways. Once Ms. Wright announces Bella's expulsion during class Jade is crushed. After class ends Jade runs to find Bella so she can say a tearful and heartfelt goodbye, Reminding Bella that no matter what happens she'll always be a part of their group. When Violet posts a video of Bella getting expelled and it goes viral, Bella talks to Jade in tears. Jade promises to make things right, and confronts Violet about the situation. Jade is initially very excited for Bella's return to Rainbow High, her face lighting up the second she lays eyes on her. However their relationship has changed once Bella returned. Jade believes Bella is upset with her because they haven't hung out or talked much since Bella's return. When Bella is leaving to the Sparkle Sister's Ski Lodge for winter break, Jade is the only one who doesn't say goodbye to her, instead shying away with an upset look on her face. During Radiant Week however they seem to have a big fight but they make up and talk a little afterwords. They seem to be on good terms once again for now. December 6th, 2020: Skyler's cheer doll is released, being spotted at Walmart in the United States and Canada. They don't get along and Ruby finds them quite bossy. Like the rest of her friends she isn't too fond of them. Ruby and the rest of the group are greeted by Ms. Wright, who gives the girls the grand project of designing cheer uniforms and designing a cheer to go with them. Being the graphic designer she is, Ruby takes on the job of making the emblems for the outfits. However, she gets into a slight argument with Jade, who thinks their two visions for the designs don't match. Amaya however, mends this by thinking of making totally customized uniforms. The girls end up with a variety of looks, and after doing a performance for Ms. Wright, they pass the project. Poppy Rowan is a 2020-introduced and all-around character. She is a student at Rainbow High that focuses in Music Engineering with a special interest in Art of Music. Poppy is the monarch of music at Rainbow High. She flutters between genres, but always comes up with something that's fresh and new. Everyone at Rainbow High looks up to her bold taste in music and creative ear for new beats. She's the go-to DJ for everything at Rainbow High, because she knows that the right music can set the vibe for the entire event. Poppy is the social butterfly of the group, and her easy-going personality means she fits in just about everywhere.
While she was initially unsure of Amaya, due to her being Bella's replacement, Poppy grew to appreciate Amaya as part of her runway group. That being said, they do not interact one on one much. While most of the girls have grown a bit closer to Amaya, Ruby is still rather distant from her, seeing her as nothing but a replacement for her friend. In particular, she tells Bella that she deeply misses her, having Jade text her about these feelings. Amaya, still trying to win everyone's approval, shows Ruby and the rest of the girls the school's special Color Change Chamber. Ruby in particular is very impressed by this, and she starts to see Amaya as her own person and as a part of the group. The first 11-inch Rainbow High dolls were released in 2020, with the initial lineup including Ruby Anderson, Poppy Rowan, Sunny Madison, Jade Hunter, Skyler Bradshaw and Violet Willow dolls. Each of the original dolls included two outfits and a doll stand, while the dolls themselves featured inset eyes and thirteen points of articulation. Bella and Gabriella became friends when they teamed up for Radiant Week, which they won and got the opportunity to spend some time at Pacific Coast High. They're later seen cheering in the crowd along with Sheryl and Finn in "Rainbow Vision Finale: Part 2" and "Rainbow Vision Finale: Part 3". Sunny and Poppy hit off their friendship nearly instantly, with Poppy being the one to cheer her up after learning about her dorm. After they get to know each other, they both become very close friends that often hang out both together and with their fellow roommate. The two are seen together frequently, showcasing their good friendship. In the episode “ The Final Runway Show” Poppy's dress is inspired by the monarch butterfly dress from Moschino Spring 2018.
Ruby makes a small appearance, saying she couldn't believe that Jade and Amaya joined Laurel and Holly's' play. After Amaya accidentally writes her name on the other paper, Ruby gives advice on what she should do and helps her out. Ruby, along with the rest of her group, is seen working on the runway group project when they are interrupted by Ms. Wright who lets the girls know that Bella is being expelled. Being understandably upset, Ruby and the rest of girls immediately panic and are heartbroken. They are then abruptly introduced to Amaya, someone Ruby is shown to be unsure of.Like the other girls in the group, Bella is extremely talented and artistic, having won an few awards in her chosen field. Though she has no qualms about boasting her achievements, she's also a friendly and outgoing person who easily befriended her roommates and hypes them up when they need it. She's also easily excitable and somewhat impulsive, but overall a team player who works well under pressure.
