He would eventually be rescued by a kindly man named Mr. Smee. In the episode " Mama Hook Knows Best!", it is revealed that Captain Hook's full name is Captain James Bartholomew Hook. While making Treasure Planet, Glen Keane used Captain Hook to study the movement of the mechanical arm for John Silver. In the episode " House of Genius", Hook was shown to get very frustrated upon hearing Goofy say the word "Pan".

In the Peter Pan unit of the Festival of Fantasy Parade, Hook appears riding the anchor of the Jolly Roger.
