It’s now been over 5 years since I bought the Naturehike Cloud Up 2. It’s been on a lot of adventures with me. 🙂 Even after all of this use (and some abuse!), the Cloud Up 2 is holding up well. The zippers haven’t broken, it isn’t leaking (and I haven’t resealed the seams) and the poles are fine. Construction & Durability : 20D Sil-Nylon, a light material but has yet to fail. Just like the Cloud Up 1, this tent is easy to set up, affordable, and reliable. You’ll be grateful for the extra floor space to spread out, but with only one door and vestibule, I’d recommend going for a different tent if two adults will be sharing the space. Many complain about the pegs bending, but many people also use their feet to press pegs in. I only press in by hand (with a piece of leather in my palm) and no peg has bent for me. I have yet to use the Cloud Up 2 in or on top of snow. However, I have slept in it multiple times in sub-freezing weather. The fly goes down low enough that you don’t feel wind. Condensation definitely forms on the fly, but I never had any issues with it dripping on me. We went into this expecting to find a perhaps slightly lower quality (given the price) version of the Big Agnes Fly Creek. But to be honest, the quality of craftsmanship looks very impressive. Despite this, condensation isn’t too bad of an issue in the tent because there is a sizable gap between the fly and inner tent.If you’re going to be covering long distances in reasonably mild weather, the Vik 1 would be the best choice. For a wetter and windier itinerary, I’d take the slightly heavier Taga 2. This tent will keep you warm and dry for a weekend trip in foul weather but it’s not going to perform as well as the Hilleberg at high altitudes or in extreme climates, so don’t let appearances fool you. The Cloud Up 2 could be rather cramped for two adults sharing. The floor space would be better for an adult and a child at the most, especially as there is one vestibule to store your kit.
