Nourishing fluids like milkshakes, smoothies and yoghurts are a good way to add extra calories and protein into your diet if you have poor appetite, not eating much and noticing unintentional weight loss as a result. Substitute 1 cup of raw peanuts for 1/2 cup of peanut butter, whether it is creamy or crunchy type. It is your choice. If you are a peanut lover like my husband and have no problem tasting the grains, then you can choose to not sieve the blended raw peanuts. Place a sieve or cheese cloth over a large pitcher or any other container and strain the peanut mixture, little by little. Discard the pulp. However, if you have a high power blender that can puree the raw peanut for you not to taste any grains, then you can choose not to strain it through a sieve.
Store the pitcher with the punch into the refrigerator for a few days. Do not add ice cubes to the punch in the pitcher when storing it in the refrigerator or else it will water down. My preferred method of soaking my cashews is overnight at room temperature. I also cover the soaking container with plastic wrap so that everything stays really fresh. If you do not have all night or many hours to soak your cashews, you can instead use boiling water.Alcohol (optional).
