I was captured by the way they faced their individual situations while dealing with moving forward as a united family in the midst of anguish. I appreciated this touching and emotional look at family dynamics, grief, and sibling bonds written in Steel's special style. The Whittier family, composed of two parents and six siblings ranging in ages from 42 to 21, have always been close, but when tragedy strikes these adult children are drawn even closer to provide emotional and physical support. Five of the siblings return home to the family estate and the story unfolds over the next year. Not only are they coping with their grief, they face an unplanned pregnancy, hostile divorce proceedings, a major business expansion and budding romances.

There may be some spoilers but it's not like anything substantial happens in this book so whatever: Danielle Steel has released over half a dozen releases in 2022 alone, which is a significant achievement for any author. It amazes me that an author can produce so many titles in such a short space of time. Invisible relays the story of Antonia Adams, a woman who provides a glimpse into the film industry thanks to her life story. Another is that this book will make you reconsider the notion of complaining. About anything. Instead, it’ll have you thinking about the blessings in your life and will leave you with something like shame and embarrassment at the thought of complaining about all the common, random stuff we probably complain about on a daily basis.Theo finally decides to go out into the world and travels to New York to oversee a fashion pop-up store for her fashion line. While in New York she meets Pierre de Vaumont, a jet-setting networker, and invites him to her exclusive opening of the pop-up store. She doesn’t realize that Pierre was flagged by the CIA, and that’s when she meets Mike Andrews, who poses as a lawyer but is actually a CIA agent who is tailing Pierre. After meeting Theo, Mike decides to have another look at her husband and son’s kidnapping and decides to see if he can find out more about the kidnappers, especially if they are still alive and active. The eldest four are forced to put aside their personal issues and their grief to keep the family together and support each other and their two youngest siblings. Selling the house, along with all the memories that live in its walls, feels like yet another devastating loss. Could there be another way, as unconventional as it seems?

The partners the characters had fallen in love with had also been flat, and the storyline of how they got together seemed too easy and set up. I only give 5 stars to books I would consider reading again, and this latest offering from Danielle Steel fits that criteria as a feel-good, entertaining read.
