As soon as you turn it on it will start recording, and create a new video file every minute (about 110MB). You can change this to 3 or 5 minutes in the menu. By default, the time stamp will be included on your video, but you can disable this along with audio recording. The screen turns off after a minute so as not to distract you while you’re driving, but you can configure this in the menu. If your device can't connect to DrivePro or show DrivePro "Internet not available", please go Settings > Wi-Fi > Press Menu Key > Advanced > Turn off "Auto network switch", then connect again.

All the regular dash cam features are there, such as auto on/off, loop recording, impact detection (G-sensor) and date/time stamp on video. A word of caution though: Several users have reported an issue with the camera not being able to keep the date/time settings for more than a couple of days when it is not in use. This is apparently due to the camera using a relatively low power capacitor instead of an internal battery. However, there are also many users who do not seem to be having this issue at all. G-sensor sensitivity is higher than average.Some users have noted the G-sensor to be far too sensitive, triggering Emergency Recording even with small bumps to the car while driving such as going over speed ramps. The camera’s sensor perceives an event and falsely initiates Emergency Recording, which can take up valuable and unnecessary space on memory cards.As there’s no GPS, so you won’t be able to pinpoint where a video was recorded, or exactly where you were of how fast you were going when an incident occurred.
