About this deal

You can’t make one of the detectives die! It’s just like how Poirot died but he was old. If you have to have one die though, can you please spare Hazel? I really like Daisy but Hazel is still my really favorite one. Hi Lydia, I have the feeling that quite a few people might have suggested it to them! They were really excited to work with me and it was a dream come true for me too.

I’m so excited for the new book, I’m going to try to read all of the books (again) for preparation! Daisy’s my favourite to write as well! I’m so glad you like her, and I hope you keep on enjoying the series. Thank you! You said in another post that love is comminf in George’s way- maybe with Kitty, who is quite boy crazy? I’m not sure how that would work though… Or maybe Beanie and George becauseyoy mentioned that she would be a prominent character in the upcoming book. I was wondering whether it is Daisy who has the plat and Hazel who has the bushy hair or vice versa. Now I have literally just finished it, and it was jolly good! I’m now reading the extract from Jolly Fowl Play, and when I’ve finished that, I’m going to read The Case of Lavinia’s Missing Tie – my brother(who in many ways is not unlike Bertie) has to put up with this every morning!Hi Fay, there’s a very good reason – because Maudlin is not a real place! I’m very aware that there’s a Magdalen College in existance, but I didn’t want to use an actual location, so I created the name Maudlin (from the word that sounds the same but means sentimental or self-pitying, of course!). There’s a note at the front of the book to explain this – I promise your niece will never be under the impression that I just can’t spell! Also, I don’t think that the new girl will be the victim (unless she’s the second victim). Because then how would Daisy have a change of heart about her later on in the story? (unless she finds something later on while investigating which would make her change her mind) because Daisy usually doesn’t really care that much about the victim ( that’s Hazel’s job). So I’m thinking that the new girl stays alive and does something during the investigation that makes Daisy change her mind about her. I can’t wait until the SUMMER!!! So excited for Once Upon a Crime! I only just heard because I’m very new to this genre and series, but I’m loving the MMU books so far, and cannot wait for Once Upon a Crime and The Ministry!

Hi Robin, it’s so exciting about The Case of the Blue Violet – it will be really intersesting to read a MMU mistery from Daisy’s point of veiw. I love the cover as well – it looks super cool! I’m absolutely thrilled. I think it looks beautiful – so summery and warm – and it’s going to complement the other covers so beautifully. Hi Wispa, you’re very sensible! Don’t apologise for being safe. I’d love to set up a fan club – it’s something my publishers and I have talked about. I’m hoping that it will happen sometime soon – stay tuned! Robin 🙂 Phew so relieved omg so pleased it’s not the last of Daisy and Hazel, have u ever considered writing about their children solving crimes?Deirdre and Delia? I just thought it would be a good idea xxxxxxx This isn’t the first short story about Daisy & Hazel I’ve written! I wrote another last year, called The Case of Lavinia’s Missing Tie, and it’s available for free here. That one is set before the series begins – it’s the case Hazel refers to in the very first chapter of Murder Most Unladylike.I LOVE the cover and title, it looks wonderful. I think it is my favourite cover yet! When I start to read Top Marks for Murder I will be 5000 miles flying in the air to Croatia, so it two very exciting things will be happening at once. I also can’t wait to go to your book signing in Eason in Dublin and get all my Murder most unladylike books signed! P.S It is probably Daisy because if she dies she would want to die in the most drematic way possible. Thank you so much! I’m so pleased you like my books, and that you like Daisy as the narrator of this story 🙂 I know that it won’t be Death on the Nile, but I do wonder whether you will include Murder in the title again.

Book Genre: Childrens, Fiction, Historical, Historical Fiction, Middle Grade, Mystery, Short Stories, Young Adult Also, after ‘Mistletoe and Murder’, will there be another book(or is that top-secret information!?) Or it could be one of the students. Maybe someone from Daisy and Hazels’ form!!! I can’t wait till August 8.

Wow can’t wait!! I’ve read all the books and I’m so hooked. They’re the first murder books I’ve ever read – and probably the best!! Mistletoe and Murder sounds AMAZING! Camilla Badescu is in the fifth form, and has pale skin, dark hair and red lips. She comes from Romania (which is practically Transylvania). She doesn’t eat at meals. And she seemed to have an unhealthy influence over another pupil, Amy Jessop. Now, I do not believe in vampires – I am the Honourable Daisy Wells, after all. But when I heard the rumour that Camilla was seen climbing head-first down a wall, I knew it was time to investigate… i think a sinister celebration is the best one out of these. PS where did you get the idea of Peril amongst the Parents from? I also wanted to tell you that on Thursday I saw The Mousetrap in London (which is why I couldn’t go to your London signing)! I assume you have probably seen it but if you haven’t you DEFINITELY should it’s AMAZING! All the kids had sheets where we could guess who the murderer was and write a question for the cast and afterwards they answered them. I love Agatha Christie and it’s incredible that the show has been running for 65 years.
