About this deal

I’m not a pro, its just a hobby of mine, usually use it when travelling and family event. I use 18-55mm kit lens and 35mm 1.8 lens. Piece of advice: you can set U1 to photograph landscapes, U2 for portrait photography, and use the rest when you’re experimenting. And I finally have a good little prime 50mm (FX) which is a bargain for the price, forget the 1.4 and go for the 1.8. Video shooters get some upgrades as well. The D7100 offers 30p and 25p as well as 24p (rather than just 24p) recording and built-in stereo microphones. When using the D7100's optional 1.3X crop mode, which gives an effective focal length increase of 2X (a 50mm lens provides the crop of a 100mm), 50/60i movie recording is available. This crop mode also allows for 15MP stills capture at 7 versus the standard 6 frames per second. Like the D7200, the Nikon D7100 has a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor that provides data to the Scene Recognition system that guides the metering, white balance and autofocusing systems. You can also take control over the colour of your images via the Picture Control modes (Standard, Neutral, Vivid, Monochrome, Portrait and Landscape) with options to adjust the sharpening, contrast, brightness, saturation and hue of the colour modes.

An experiment without a filter was first carried out on Nikon D800E. The manufacturers realized that no one was experiencing any special problems and the sensor without the filter went to the masses in the form of D7100. I really like the Nikon d7100 camera. I like the controls, ergonomics, and I don’t think there will be problems for me mastering it. The d7200 is a little expensive for me. Hi Bob, could you clarify it a bit please? (And/or share your thoughts/experience) June 16, 2020 Reply A lot of people, myself included, often recommend starting with D3x00 or D5x00 series if you’re a beginner photographer. For starters, the viewfinder coverage is sitting pretty at 100% and the viewfinder is comfortable to use. The camera also comes with an LED AF light that tells the camera operator if the lighting is too low for the camera, which is an excellent option for photographers who do not understand how to tell this for themselves yet. I think that you will find that most people don't use live view (and SHOULDN"T use live view) to take photos. Using live view while taking photos really slows the camera down with focusing, taking the picture, and displaying the picture after. The viewfinder has an exposure indicator within it. When you look through the viewfinder, it tells you if the shot will be (according to the meter on whatever you happen to be exposing off of) will be exposed properly or not. Please get the book Nikon D7100 for idiots it breaks down all our problems so we can understand real easy. And please read it before useing. Shooting in 4k has a lot of good points. This is probably the reason why a lot of people prefer buying cameras with this feature. My first several DSLR cameras were Canon (20D, 40D), but I’ve been interested in Nikon for a decade for its low-light capabilities, which always seemed much better than Canon’s. I recently bought a D7100 for a great price, and now I’m learning all the features and functions. July 4, 2020 Reply

Hi, I have using Nikon D5000 for some years, and now considering to upgrade my camera, but still confused between d5300 which is cheaper but still in D5xxx series or d7100/d7200 more expensive but more complex series. While D7000 is still pretty good, D7100 is a bit better. I mean it has a better focus system, it’s faster, less noise at high ISO values. Of course, this camera doesn’t have all of the newest technology thanks to its age, but if you’re a beginner photographer looking to grow into a camera and you don’t want to spend a ton of money on one, then the Nikon D7100 is still a great option even so many years later. In reality, you can’t really tell the difference since there were no problems with autofocus in D7000. If there is one thing to complain about when it comes to the video capabilities of the Nikon D7100, it’s that the video is quite soft. For an everyday shooter, this may not be a huge deal, but for someone who is hoping to eventually go into serious videographer work, it will be frustrating. Nikon D7100 Price

However, a moiré pattern is more hypothetical because in real life you are unlikely to encounter this effect.

In any case, do upgrade if you feel your current camera restricts you. 85.0mm · ƒ/5.6 · 10/5000s · ISO 800
