The area between 300Hz to 700Hz (just before the 800Hz dip) is elevated slightly. This area also lines up with the increased THD levels I discussed earlier. This could be coincidence. But I believe they are related. Maybe the port is having more of an effect in this region than it needs to? Doesn't seem to add much coloration (but this also leads to it feeling slightly emptier than the 1280T, could be good or bad)

The BS5 are designed to be listened to pointed straight forwards. If you like to have a slightly brighter response, you can point the speakers more towards the center position. We also tuned the BS5 without a grill. The grill was made afterwards to minimize its effect on the speaker output. It is fairly transparent but does change the response slightly. Decently clear mids/highs, though this is less defined than the Miccas. These get better after doing the firmware update, and get it much closer to the Micca's clarity, but still not quite as good This speaker has a wall-mountable design, meaning you can have more space on your bookshelf or desk when you mount this speaker on a wall. In addition, it boasts of having a wooden cabinet that is structured accurately to obtain better sound quality.

I looked at the Sony SCS5 but they have a rear port ... I need all the sound to project forward toward the group. This bookshelf speaker has an elegant look that makes it stand out from so many speakers, and you can trust this speaker to improve the look or appearance of your room.
