About this deal

A thought is harmless unless we believe it. It’s not our thoughts but our attachment to our thoughts that causes suffering. A belief is a thought that we have been attaching to, often for years. Does not increase promiscuity, quite the contrary, because promiscuity is an attempt to overcome unconscious fears (really?) Because emotions emit a vibrational energy field, they affect and determine the people who are in our lives Hawkins, Ph. D in philosophy, Director of the Institute for Spiritual Research teaches the Letting Go technique as a treatment for emotional pain, issues, neurosis, anxiety and depression. But more than that it is a pathway to enlightenment, or simply put surrender to who you already are. This book is a meditative tool for the student to learn to surrender more in life and more of a journey of inner peace and to uncovering yourself/your soul. This could be the most important book you will ever read.

Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.” Letting go is one of the most efficacious tools by which to reach spiritual goals.”— David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D.Escape: getting ourselves too busy—or high—to think about it, It includes drugs, alcohol, risk-seeking, and workaholism When it comes to healing, there are four stages that he walks you through, and he offers advice on how to forgive. But he goes farther than that, exploring the meaning of forgiveness and the reasons for its need. Forgiveness: Finding Peace Through Letting Go by Adam Hamilton People’s subconscious know what you are feeling and thinking – meaning, what you are thinking/feeling when you go somewhere effects how people perceive you. There is nothing more important to true growth than realizing that you are not the voice of the mind – you are the one who hears it.” – Michael A. Singer, The Untethered Soul After you have finished reading this book, you’ll be a different person from when you have started reading it. In the book, he takes us through the levels of consciousness and chances are that by the end of the book, you’ll have raised your level.

His main practical suggestion is to always observe the mind without judging or condemning its contents. Some birds are not meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are too bright, their songs too sweet and wild. So you let them go, or when you open the cage to feed them they somehow fly out past you. And the part of you that knows it was wrong to imprison them in the first place rejoices, but still, the place where you live is that much more drab and empty for their departure.”

“The Art Of Happiness” by the Dalai Lama

Attached | The New Science of Adult Attachment | Amir Levine and Rachel S. F. Heller | Book Summary Some of the key points include the importance of being aware of one's own preconceptions about people, as well as our own inner feelings and thoughts, and how they affect those around us. Furthermore, the significance of focusing on good ideas for health, since "what is held in mind tends to express itself through the body". It was overall a good read. The beauty of this book is that it’s useful for the spiritual seeker as well as for the individual after worldly wealth and success. like attracts like.” Similarly, “love promotes love,” so that the person who has let go of a lot of inner negativity is surrounded by loving thoughts, loving events, loving people, and loving pets.”

So I'm holding off on actually rating until I finish the audio book...but so far, I am deeply unimpressed. This book would be about half it's actual length if you cut the lists to manageable size and removed the outlandish claims (such as it being able to cure allergies). It usual riddled with false claims about auras (debunked) and other New age claptrap. To overcome blame, it is necessary to look at the secret satisfaction and enjoyment we get out of self-pity, resentment, anger, and self-excuses, and to begin to surrender all of these little payoffs.” I often ask my students, “What are you really hungry for now?” They don’t say French fries or more clothes. These are the common responses: Desmond Tutu, the Archbishop of Cape Town, has first-hand knowledge and understanding of the necessity for people to forgive serious wrongdoings. South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission appointed him as its chairman.
