About this deal

We used a force gauge to determine how much force is needed to topple over each heated airer, as well as the flexibility of each airer's bars. As well as less heated bars (25 compared to the larger model's 36)each drying bar is also narrower (43cm in width compared to 57cm for the deluxe version) and crucially the distance between each tier is reduced, offering a 33cm gap compared to the deluxe models 37.5cm. It may not sound like much, but it does make hanging longer items without them touching the clothes on the tier below more challenging. Looking ahead over the next few months, we're bound to see a lot of one thing: rain. The good ol' British weather never fails us, particularly during the colder seasons, which can make getting your washing dry a bit of a tough job.

But the savings reduce dramatically for larger laundry loads, where you'd need to use the heated airer multiple times to dry a load that could fit in the tumble dryer in one go. Please note that during particularly busy periods, it may take a little longer to receive your delivery and our carrier may attempt to deliver to you on a Saturday. Offering 5kg of laundry capacity per shelf, this heated clothes airer has ample room for most people’s regular washes and heating capacity that makes light work of them too. We are not able to show every retailer and cheaper prices may be available The heated clothes airers we tested Due to the wardrobe-like design, you can hang shirts and uniforms inside on clothes hangers, and this results in far less creasing than standard heated airers and clothes horses. Underneath, there’s a second rail for other items, and this provides enough capacity for around 12 items of clothing. If you already have a tumble dryer and are thinking of making a swap, it will also depend on what type of tumble dryer you already own.

Keep your four-legged friend cosy and comfortable this season with our range of Dog Beds. Whether your pup is a small breed or a large one, our range of dog beds provides the perfect spot for restful sleep. Dog Beds> Drying pods are essentially big hair dryers for clothes, using a fan and heating element to blow hot air through the clothes hanging inside a pod. Compared to a tumble dryer, however, the story is a little more nuanced. If you have small amounts of washing that can fit on a heated airer in one go, then there are savings to be made when compared to condenser tumble dryers. Anything of a nature that for hygiene or associated health and safety - this includes the Outdoor Spas, Mattresses and Divan Sets

Key specs – Open dimensions: 152 x 71.5 x 45cm (HWD); Closed dimensions: 152 x 71.5 x 45cm (HWD); Drying capacity: 10kg of clothing; Weight: 4.6kg; Guarantee: 3 years; Wattage: 1,200W They dry clothes faster than heated bar clothes airers, but typically have smaller capacities. You'll be able to hang dresses and jeans in them, but bedsheets and duvets are a no-go. That said, the winged design does mean our testers found clothes were slower to dry compared to a tiered option, with longer garments staying wet at the ends that were furthest from the 18 drying bars – a problem that can be solved by rotating your clothes frequently, but that does make laundry drying more time-consuming. I was concerned the fan would be noisy, but unlike a tumble dryer, it’s very quiet at less than 52dB. It states that it takes around one to three hours to dry your laundry. Delicates were perfectly dry after even less, but shirts took around an hour and denim a little longer. A timer can be set to either a minimum of 30 minutes or a maximum of 180 minutes. Heated airers speed up the drying process and provide a gentler method for drying delicates. Instead of wrapping delicates in towels and balancing them precariously on the bathroom radiator, or hanging dresses up in the shower to drip-dry, an electric airer means you can just wring them out gently and lay them flat to dry. How hot do heated clothes dryers get? Heated clothes airers use very little electricity – roughly 0.2-0.3kWh of energy compared to around 4.5kWh per cycle for a tumble dryer – so they’re a cheaper option than turning your heating on to do the same job.The best heated airers cost as little as 6p per hour to run, while the most costly came in at around 31p an hour. Stability I tested out Staubs Pumpkin Cocotte Cast Iron Casserole to see if it is worthy of a place in your kitchen all year round Closely resembling traditional clothes horses, heated clothes airers have heating elements within their rails to warm your washing and speed up the drying process. Our testing goes the extra mile by not only measuring drying speed and running cost for a small (2.15kg cotton) load, but establishing which are the most stable, easiest to put up and have the most drying space for their footprint. Is a heated clothes airer with a cover actually faster at drying? We found the answer. This fan-powered heated clothes airer circulates warm air within its zip-up cover to dry washing in super fast times.
