I should have sensed it. Felt it in the air, like the build-up of pressure before a thunderstorm, that heavy, loaded calm. It was supposed to be the perfect holiday - a group of families enjoying a week together in the sun. Four women who have been best friends for as long as they can remember making the most of a luxurious villa in the south of France. I'd argue that this was more of a political thriller as despite Heather being the prime suspect for the murder of her husband, the popular MP Liam - having spent time in prison, she's now desperate to find out the truth.Part mystery, part revenge story, 100% enthralling' Gillian McAllister, Sunday Times bestselling author of Wrong Place Wrong Time I’ve not watched any of his dramas so I’m certainly going to correct this and read more of his work. Why have I never before this? I have no idea except too many books little time.

The Mother: The relentlessly gripping, utterly unmissable

T.M. Logan is at the top of his game - The Mother is a propulsive novel of secrets, heartbreaking betrayal, and what lengths an individual goes to put 'family first'' L.V. Matthews You wake up, your husband is dead and YOU are the prime suspect. Your children have been taken away, your life sent into freefall - and yet you can barely remember anything about the night you lost everything. An irresistible new thriller . . . Logan has devised anintricate plot of shifting loyalties and duelling timelines, but the real triumph in The Mother is that fierce, flawed title character. She's a mother like no other. * A.J. Finn, International bestselling author of The Woman in the Window *With the wedding date approaching fast, can Ed finally find the evidence to prove that Ryan’s been lying to them all, before it’s too late? It isn’t long before Ed senses something off about Ryan. Something hidden in the dark shadows behind his eyes. And it seems that he’s the only one who can see it. He offers Sarah a way to solve a desperate situation with her intolerable boss. A once-in-a-lifetime deal that will make all her problems disappear. But Heather has never stopped proclaiming her innocence, she is determined to discover what happened that terrible evening - even if it costs her her own life… Heather watches her children at a funeral, whilst she is hiding in the shadows. Ten years ago she was imprisoned for the murder of her husband, something she denies and can't remember. She woke up feeling odd with a glass of whisky and tablets by the bed, something she wouldn’t do because of the children and then found him downstairs with a stab wound in his chest. She is tried and found guilty of murder. Ten years later Heather is determined to clear her name and reclaim her life with her boys and find out what really happened that fateful night.

The Curfew: The utterly gripping Sunday Times bestselling

A few minutes holding her baby while the mother makes an urgent call. The weight of the child in her arms making Ellen’s heart ache for what she can never have. But Kate has a secret: her husband is having an affair. And a week away might just be the perfect opportunity to get the proof she needs - to catch him in the act once and for all. Because she suspects the other woman is one of her three best friends. I have read other books where someone has been wrongfully imprisoned and when they are out again, they're trying to prove their innocence. Nothing original or new here. Neverless I wanted to read this story as I've enjoyed T.M. Logan's previous books. Difficult ( as always ) not to say too much and give things away but this is a domestic thriller with criminal and Government links that spans a decade or more and will as the blurb says ‘keep you reading all night’ Heather is determined to find out who killed her husband and finds a journalist to help her. Owen always thought Heather was innocent and together they try and work out what really happened. It has it good moments of various revelations, but they weren't ones that kept you guessing or at edge as to what happens next! The author sets the scene perfectly as Heather becomes increasingly frustrated of the distant Liam and his heavy work load, it gets to the point where she suspects that he might be having an affair - so there is potential for a motive... The story starts with a funeral. The children stand at the front of the room grieving the loss of their mother. Little do they know that she is stood, hiding in the shadows watching them with her heart breaking… This one gave me some The Firm vibes and I loved every minute of it. Getting caught was not an option and I enjoyed the way the author kept the pace steady. I’ve been enjoying the TV adaptation of one of TM Logan’s other novels, The Catch, so having is latest to read as well was perfect timing!
