About this deal

The Qudelix-5K is the world's 1st Bluetooth DAC/AMP to support all the latest codec technologies, including aptX Adaptive, LDAC, AAC, aptX HD, aptX, and SBC. I also wish for a 5K successor, Fiio will release a new BT dac/amp with many of the functions I'd like for a new 5k...But Fiios software game is childsplay compared to the folks at Qudelix

Bluetooth:Generally pretty stable, though it is more stable over aptX than LDAC for me over longer distances. Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.qudelix.qudelix Apple App Store: https://apps.apple.com/kr/app/qudelix/id1515641059?l=en We strongly recommend installing and using the app to fully experience the feature-rich nature of Qudelix-5K. The app is just a controller... In terms of hardware, the Qudelix 5K can be considered boring. Like many other Bluetooth dongles, it uses a pair of ES9219 chips without any extra analog stages. For the price of the device, this solution is more than acceptable. Chrome Web Store link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/qudelix/phaodiidhofhdmfkjiacigibgikhfafn?hl=en For a USB DAC use case with Windows, MacOS, and Linux, you can install the Qudelix Chrome Extension. The Qudelix Chrome Extension works over... The Q5k is made of mainly dark, hard plastic, with only the clip and skrews being made of metal. It feels very solid, but at the same time quite light, lighter than it looks. The whole device is tiny, smaller than the relatively big UP4 and still smaller (by volume) than the BTR5. Considering they have nearly the same specs, this is really quite impressive. The Qudelix 5K is a thumb drive sized USB DAC dongle with internal battery and Bluetooth connectivity just like the FiiO BTR5.

It is accompanied by a great application that is available for all platforms and allows for an in-depth customization and furthermore it has embedded a PEQ/GEQ (64-bit double precision) pro-grade equalizer with additional support for the open source AutoEq project. UNBALANCED 4VRMS: To the 3.5mm output, 5k works with single ES9219 DAC/AMP. The ES9219 SABRE HiFi SoC delivers audiophile-grade sound quality and 2VRMS output power, allowing the ES9219 to drive the most demanding headsets and provide a real line-level output to match professional audio equipment. In addition to the output power mode option, Qudelix's proprietary software drives ES9219C DAC/AMP in two different ways, to trade off the battery time and Sound Quality. For Bluetooth connectivity, the Qudelix 5K is using the latest Qualcomm QCC5124 chip which supports all the latest codec technologies, including aptX Adaptive, LDAC, AAC, aptX HD, aptX, and SBC.The equalizer is effective and processes every incoming audio from everywhere: Youtube, Apple Music, Spotify, iOS, Android, PC, Bluetooth (all Codecs), and USB. I have the BTR5, which is metal and glass, as well as the Qudelix. It has very poor range, compared to the Qudelix. It's fine, if you are right beside it, but Qudelix continues to work in the next room where the BTR5 starts to cut out. I personally don't care much for a display since I don't really need to look at it (and eats a bit of battery), but this is simply a feature that is absent on the Qudelix, but is present on the BTR5. Also, it has no button indicators at all.
