About this deal

Jagger told the NYT that they only have “half an album” of material — and Wood hinted that those songs may need quite a bit of time in the studio before they see release. This thread is a collection of posted rumours and facts related to The Rolling Stones tour plans for the coming years of 2023 - 2024. The Rolling Stones are expected to continue their highly successful touring next year, to support their new studio album, currently being in the mixing stage. The latest rumour is another tour in North America, starting in the spring.

Out of Time," with a rudimentary Keith solo reminiscent of Hank Marvin on the outro, arguably overshadowed both, and maybe several others on the set list. What a great discovery. The Rolling Stones have been unable to reschedule their North America Tour 2023 into this fall, so there will be no Stones tour this year, according to trusted sources. Nov 19: State Farm Stadium, (University of Phoenix Stadium) Glendale AZ (near Phoenix) rumoured show date added. Ronnie seems to be a problem. I noticed he slumped forward apparently exhausted as he took a break next to Steve on the riser during the beginning of "You Can't Always Get What You Want." His solos were adequate, but nothing to write home about. Sales are stronger in Europe but who knows if that would be the case for another 14 shows. I am sure more shows Holland / Scandanavia / Germany / Spain and maybe a seated London show would sell very well. After “Living In. Ghost Town” (always great to hear that one!) and a very strong “Honky Tonk Women”, there have been the band introductions and then it was time for Keith to sing his set. This song circulated in trading circles for a couple of months but it’s a safe bet to say that no one in the audience ever heard this one before! The yet unreleased outtake version has a nice falsetto but Jagger didn’t do that tonight. Makes me wonder how the version on the rerelease of Tattoo You will be…..

This past December, the Rolling Stones gathered in Mark Knopfler's British Grove Studios in West London to begin work on a batch of original songs. Jagger is deliberately vague on the nature of those tunes. "I hope it's gonna be a very eclectic album," he says. "I hope some of it's gonna be recognizable Stones and some of it's gonna be some Stones you never heard before, maybe." Sales are stronger in Europe but who knows if that would be the case for another 14 shows.I didn't knew that and had expected, that the Stones will make more money with concert tours in the US.Seeing that they did B&L in 3 days in December of 2015 and whatever it is, 2 days in April of 2016, they've had plenty of time to be distracted from working on a new LP of originals. Good setlist, the criticism they don’t change a lot, who cares! I go again and if every song is the same, count me in! minutes later the Stones were on; we expected a very standard short setlist with only the well known songs but what a surprise it was: Let’s Spend The Night Together as opener!

Satisfaction” was good as always; I particularly like the fact that Steve Jordan tries to replicate the rhythm part of the studio version. I think it works wonderfully, as that rhythm is an integral part of the whole sound of this legendary song. We arrived at the Hotel in Marble Arch on the Friday evening. It was a good omen hearing Elton John’s gig blaring out from the park. We just loved Keith’s set – Slipping Away and Connection are classics, and Keith is so into it, flawlessly supported by Ronnie.

Feb 5: The Pittsburgh show is expected to be Tue Jun 23, based on the dates of Cleveland and St. Louis, and the procedure of minimum four days between shows. But the worst experience was yet to come.. Arriving at longchamp we saw from the bus the lines before the entrance going all the way along the venue, 3 km long… Gimme Shelter" took the spot "Sympathy" normally have, so we got "Sympathy For The Devil" as the first encore. By then it was quite dark, so may be they did the change so that we could get more of the graphics in that song in the darkness. Paris is one of those cities where the Stones want to put on a great show. They have played here over 30 times, recorded extensively here in the 70s, 80s and later, and at various times had residences along the boulevards. It is also a big “society” town, and many friends and family were present to hear a great gig from the Stones. The usual songs were great, it’s the Rolling Stones, people, and the next uber selection for me after CYHMK was Keith doing “Slipping Away”. His roughness makes that beautiful song even sweeter. Also thoroughly enjoyed “She’s A Rainbow” early on, as a large beautiful rainbow had appeared behind the massive stage. The screens on that stage are quite amazing, and the images portrayed throughout the evening, especially during Gimmee Shelter, were quite moving. Wonderful inclusion of the Ukrainian flag towards the end of GS-a visual spectacle, a stark reality.
