About this deal

Now we’re getting to the good stuff. It’s not a secret that Saurus were a real weak point in the book, and the heroes were pretty underwhelming compared to similar Monster Heroes. Well, this is definitely a lot more impressive. He gained 3 more wounds for a max of 15, and like most Monsters in 3.0 books, the drop off on the damage chart is a lot less stark, so he can fight better for longer. Contents: 1 Great Bray-Shaman (Hero), 10 x Ungors (Battleline) / Ungor Raiders, 10 x Bestigors (Battleline with Bray-Shaman or Beastlord General) and 1 x Cygor (Behemoth) / Ghorgon (Behemoth) A couple of boxes of these serve a great core to a Cities of Sigmar force, and brave converters can take the extra Warden King and convert it into a Runelord for some anti caster potency and buff potential. On the Saurus front you got 2 units worth looking at closely. A unit of Saurus Guard are almost always taken. Even if minimum size it’s10 ablative wounds to keep your Slann alive. Your opponent will gun for your Slann if they can do so and anything to keep them alive longer is important. Just keep them surrounded. Saurus Knights are the other useful unit. Like most Cavalry they occupy a role of trying to grab objectives that your opponent neglects and leaves open. They’re pretty pokey but if given Fly they can do the job and even if there isn’t a good opening, they’re cheap enough that they can make a sacrificial lamb for keeping your Skinks and Wizards away from danger. Saurus Warriors arent great but on the cheaper side and a horde can do some damage if properly buffed up in Koatl’s Claw. Battleline in Koatl’s Claw. Big beautiful new models that are awakening things in players across the world, both flavours of Kroxigor are similar enough in warscroll and in disappointment. 4 wounds, 4+ save and movement 5” are all OK stats for big models but both just lag behind similar warscrolls in terms of damage output for cost.

Besides the wonky unit sizes, the biggest downfall of this box are the Saurus Knights, who are a wet dinofart of a unit. However, since you’re virtually getting them for free they can make a nice display piece of you’re so inclined. It’s not too long to wait before the spawning pools are at maximum capacity and cosmic reinforcements arrive. Battletome: Seraphon will be along in the summer, after two new battletomes for Grand Alliance Death. We may even hear a whisper of these upon the Shyshian wind soon. Some of them can be seen riding Terradons, agile creatures suited for the hit and run tactic of the Skinks armed with javelins and bolas. As is tradition, the Stormcast box gives you a couple of janky-sized units, but this time it’s not quite as bad. Palladors are one of the most mobile units in Stormcast and give Hunters are fine, but required in a couple of the best vanguard battalions. Who doesn’t love good doggos? Best looking Stormcast as voted in 2019. All and all – a solid box. The first Seraphon arrived in temple ships from the void and stayed in Azyr so long that they became part of the Realm of Heavens itself. Terradons can do damage when they glide towards the enemy (for a Triple) but considering their high cost they do not perform equally well in melee as the Ripperdactyls. To accompany his new beefier model, he gained 2 more wounds, which is honestly a good place to stop since it keeps him within Look Out, Sir! range, and able to avoid enemy fire this season, as his Palanquin isn’t a mount. Other than that he really hasn’t changed. He also lost Comet’s Call of course.

The naked dwarves are excellent value for money with a massive saving on the RRP for the units at almost 50%. The Hero can be built in 3 different configurations but the rest of the units are single build options. Notably, their is a set of legs to build one of the Runefather/Runemaster/Runeson on foot in addition to the rider, which makes this rather a fantastic box. This new centrepiece kit comes on three medium size sprues and an 80mm round base. You start by building the palanquin, and then you have a few assembly options for the Slann: You’ll be able to get your first taste of the new Seraphon with an army set, which contains a Slaan Starmaster, 10 Saurus Warriors, five Raptadon Chargers and five Raptadon Hunters – though you could build two units of either variety!Tips on painting a Seraphon Warband for Warcry What changed in the new edition for the Seraphon Scale-cohorts Warband? Some of the only survivors of the World-That-Was aside from the gods themselves, the Seraphon are a race of lizard-like creatures, refugees of the Old World who fled aboard starships, before finding themselves in the realms we know today. Guided by the remnants of a Great Plan left behind by a mysterious race of omnipotent beings known as the Old Ones, the Seraphon seek one thing: The total defeat of Chaos. They will do anything to achieve that end, resulting in a cold, predatory ruthlessness that regularly results in conflict with their own Sigmarite allies as often as it does the forces of Chaos. This is part 2 in our review of the Battletome: Seraphon included in the Seraphon Army Set. We received a free copy of this box from Games Workshop. Units Though armed with gleaming weaponry, Saurus tend to find their jaws are just as deadly an armament. The second of the 2 Cities of Sigmar boxes that came out with the Battletome, this time its the chance of the old plastic Dwarves to take the turn in the spotlight.

Blessed Coatl - Breath of Dracothion - Chotec's Feather - Dracothion's Tail - Fangs of Sotek - Huanchi's Jaws - Itzalotl's Eye - Kabutoq's Quiver - Koatl’s Claw - Loxibitl's Spine - Omek's Tears - Poctli's Bolt - Potemec's Horns - Quetli's Mantle - Reptiladon’s Spine - Roaring Corona - Sotek's Maw - Starfire War - Talon of Quelec - Thunder Lizard - Tlazcotl's Gaze - Tlixa's Shield - Tzunki’s Claw - Xelbabia's Scales - Yutlpoc's Quill - Yutoa's Wings With Rain Met eoric Barrage they can perform damage at the end of their movement phase, by hitting an enemy model with 1” for as much damage as the value of the ability. Those instead that started settling in the Mortal Realms are called Coalesced and are now more brutal and primordial than their space-faring cousins. The temples that descended on the ground started terraforming the surroundings to resemble the Seraphon original jungles that they now protect as their own habitat. Meteoric Barrage (Triple, all Terradon Riders except Terradon Chief): At the end of the next move action allocate up to 6 damage to an engaged enemy fighter. We’re building up his army with a focus on the tough dinosaur stuff because, well, kids love dinosaurs. Kroxigor have always been something he’s wanted to do but I shied away from their kits because they were old and not easy to find. I’m glad they came out with something suitably savage (and plastic).

In a surprise twist you get two Terrain pieces! Ok, it’s actually the same Realmshaper Engine, the buff just changes based on whether you’re Starborne or Coalesced.Neither Saurus nor Skink: for those undecided a Slann Starmaster, 1 Kroxigor,3 Salamander and 1 Razordon. You could swap 2 Salamanders for a Kroxigor and a Skink Handler. How to buy a Seraphon Warcry Warband They could be good as objective grabbers, but even if with their special ability, Nimble Retreat, that for a Double allows them a bonus disengage action, they may not survive an entire round holding it. They are not that cheap anymore, at least compared to Saurus Warriors, but numbers do count, and in some situations you just need bodies. Buying 4 of this box isn’t out of the question. This is in the top 2 of repeatable boxes to buy and it ain’t 2. During the End Times and the destruction of the World-That-Was, the Lizardmen (as they were once called) left the world in ruin through their giant spacefaring vessels and reached the Mortal Realms to continue their fight against the Chaos Gods. They follow the “Great Plan”, an overall strategy that allows them to hit in the most important moments in history disregarding all other minor events to prevent Chaos to get an advantage. This often results in the other races questioning if they are friends or enemies. Tide of Serpents (Double, Skink Starseer, Starpriest and Priest): Damage an enemy 8″ away a random number based on the ability value and the dice roll.
