About this deal

Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband: Compared to their demonic counterpart, they have more arrows in their quivers: literally considering demons don’t have archer units. Dance of the Wailing Blade (Double, all Myrmidesh Painbringers): Add 1 to the damage inflicted this round by hits or critical hits. Slaanesh disciples are divided between those searching for him, those pretending to have replaced him by ascending to godhood and those that do not care and thrive only in war and unending conquests. Do the Lucid Haze, Scarlet Cavalcade, or Faultless Blade forms of the Invader, Godseeker, or Pretender hosts from Wrath of the Everchosen still apply to the army? If so, it’s peculiar to not include them here.

Those Seeker warriors acquiring an Exalted Steed of Slaanesh can cross the battlefield at incredible speed. Although if you want to create an entire ranged warband, you can and you also have astonishing models to use. You can even complement it with a Shardspeaker to protect your core units when engaged. And you cannot leave home without a Blissbrew Homonculus as it increases Strength when using archers’ signature move Volley of Tearing Blades. The Nobles of Excess focuses on the new Myrmidesh Painbringers and Symbaresh Twinsouls and gives you the ability to re-roll wound rolls if you charged that turn. And the Exalted Speed Knights calls for 6-9 units of various Seeker units and lets D6 of them get a pre-game scout move of 6”. I love this ability – if the new knights end up being worth their points, this could be incredible. In the end it will depend on your personal preference, but you have several options available. Apart from the Lord of Pain ability or the one from the Blissbrew Homonculus, there are no other synergistic abilities, so when dividing the warband in the 3 groups you could have completely heterogeneous groups each specialized in something. Pros and cons of the Slaanesh SybaritesThis is a MASSIVE change – basically, instead of heroes required for all of the work, every unit on the table is a potential Depravity Point waiting to happen on every player turn. And the most anything costs to summon is 12… for 30 Daemonettes or a Keeper of Secrets. Symbaresh Twinsouls are warriors (usually ex- myrmidesh) of the Slaanesh Sybarites that, chafing amongst being one amongst the faceless many, took the shortcut to power and allowed themself to be possessed by a daemon of Slaanesh - this is achieved through ritualistically marking their bodies with runes of conjugation and offering up the souls of six aelves. They may be a relatively recent addition to the Mortal Realms’ landscape, but the Hedonites of Slaanesh are more eager than most to embrace new and exotic ideas. Let’s see how they fare. Who are the Hedonites of Slaanesh?

Depravity Points: Another big rule that was all but guaranteed to change. The general breakdown here is: Is the Syll’Esskian Host from the Tome Celestial still playable? RagnarokAngel Note: This one should still be playable – GW made a clear statement that White Dwarf rules would still be allowed past a certain date. Though given that the costs are now so much lower this might be FAQ’d. Slaves to Impulse (Double, all Slaangors): Perform a bonus move towards the closest enemy as long as it was maximum 6″ away. The Hellstriders are the “heavy” cavalry of the Hedonites. With Toughness 4 they are between the most resistant in the warband, combined with the 20 wounds (25 for the Hellreaver) and the 2” weapon range they should resist longer than the rest. So, when this article refers to an ability being a Double, a Triple or a Quad, it refers to this system. It might sound a bit confusing, but takes no time to get used to when you start playing But how do the Dark Revellers play on the tabletop? There is nothing excessive in looking at their deepest detail. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Slaanesh Sybarites Warband Tips on painting the Hedonites of Slaanesh What changed in the new edition for the Slaanesh Sybarites Dark Revellers? As previously mentioned, the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar is set to shake up a fair few rules and create some interesting opportunities for your Hedonite armies. To find out just how they’ll be adapting to these changes, we asked our playtester and tournament-winning master of all things Slaanesh Mike Willson to give us his thoughts and advice.

The Infernal Enrapturess lost her +1 Depravity every turn…lame. Fiends on the other hand kept their Disruptive Song ability which gives Wizards within 12” -1 to cast. They also do decent damage and now that non-Hero units can generate Depravity Points, they might see real play. The New Stuff As an added bonus, any wounds Shardslash inflicts cannot be negated, making Sigvald one of the most reliable assassins in the game. Did we mention you’re going to want him in your army? There are still three lores for Hedonites, though only one major change to the Lore of Slaanesh, and both are worth mentioning here. The Slaangors are in the middle between a cavalry piece (6″ Movement but not mounted) and a damage dealer, being slightly more efficient in killing than a Symbaresh. Their special ability costs a Double and, combined with the 2″ range of their weapon, allows them to get really close to an enemy without necessarily engaging them. Escalating strength- Revel in Depravity generally means your units get stronger as the game goes on. The good thing about those 2 abilities is that to be efficient you don’t need a high value: a Triple 1 is enough for the Shardspeaker and a Quad 2 or 3 for the Lord of Pain (you don’t need more than Strength 6 and in most cases 5 is enough). The Myrmidesh are the tankiest unit Slaanesh has ever seen. With Toughness 5 and decent wounds (20 and 15 respectively) they represent the objective holders, the guys that “can get the job done”. Taking up weapons of their own choosing and discarding their helms (the better to draw the Dark Prince’s gaze) they gleefully forgo the mono-obsessive techniques of their blade-cult in favour of displaying their own inventive skills. These egomaniacs constantly compete against one another to perform the most impressive feats in battle, shrieking rhapsodies of self-praise all the while. [1a] Sources

The Sybarites are the mortal followers of Slaanesh, each exemplifying a particular trait brought to the excess, from the lowliest Blissbarb Archer to the mightiest Lord of Pain. During the End Times, Sigvald fought the wight king Krell, one of the Great Necromancer Nagash’s most trusted lieutenants, taking a grievous – and scarring – wound. In his fury, Sigvald destroyed the revenant, only to be betrayed and killed by his ally, Throgg the Troll King. Yet none who are touched by the gods can escape their fates so easily… Rebirth Do units that were fully wiped out count toward Depravity Points as “a unit on the battlefield that has fewer models in it than it did at the start of the turn?” That “on the battlefield” bit seems to indicate that they don’t count, which may be an OK failsafe for preventing players from gaining too many CP as they destroy enemy units. This 86-part plastic kit makes five Mymidesh Painbringers for use in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It comes supplied with five 32mm Round Citadel bases. The kit can alternately be built as Symbaresh Twinsouls. Godseekers’ artefacts are largely the same as before, though Cameo of the Dark Prince now only gives you a command point once per game. The Lash of Despair has you roll for each enemy unit within 6” at the start of the Shooting phase and dealing a mortal wound to them on a 4+. And Girdle of the Realm-Racer lets you trade 1 wound for the ability to Fly.Upon succeeding in their trial, the Myrmidesh are granted a curved blade and rune-marked shield, as well as the cult's signature sleek armour. [1a] Sources Since then, the arrogant aelves extracted souls that once Slaanesh devoured during the destruction of the Old World, to repopulate the Mortal Realms with new civilizations (the Daughters of Khaine, the Idoneth Deepkin and the Lumineth Realm-lords). No one is more magnificent than the Lord of Hubris and he knows it. This narcissist is enamoured with their own skill and martial prowess. Strutting on to the battlefield they taunt and tease their foes believing no one is worthy of his blade or attention.
