About this deal

A well-priced, good to control hi-fi which gives you enough control to make for a pleasant experience. This hi-fi has a small remote control which is useful, but the text next to the buttons is small and quite hard to read. This means it’s not ideal for older people and those with impaired eyesight. Once you learn where the buttons are it’s ok, but a larger remote with more clearly labelled buttons might have been better.

Setting yourself a budget will really help you to narrow down your search. It can also help you to avoid the slippery slope of buying a really expensive product that perhaps had advanced specifications that you didn’t need or couldn’t actually afford. The wall mounting kit is all included, so you’re good to go no matter the positioning you choose. Because of this ability, it would be brilliant also in a room where surface space is limited. Despite its slim build, it is surprisingly powerful and easily fills the room with sound once you get this positioning correct. Now we know the benefits, it’s time to go through what you can do to stay safe when purchasing over the internet. Take a good look at the retailer This is a system pretty unlike any we have ever seen before, and we love it. It brings the radiogram bang up to date, which will appeal to those who love the idea of old-school accents in the modern world. Some may say it isn’t technically a hi-fi, but we thought it was well worth including.Everything can be controlled straight from your smartphone using the SongPal 3.0 app. Available on both Android and iOS, you won’t only be able to access the songs, but you’ll also be able to control the sound settings. Sometimes you want the vocals to be more prominent, and at other times it’s the bass. No worries. First of all, the design is something a little different. Rounded and convex in shape, it allows for a great spread and distribution of music. It is also finely calibrated to deliver the music just how it should sound. We say it comes under the ‘traditional’ sub-category, and while it isn’t necessarily your traditional hi-fi, it is certainly a fabulous novelty one. It is great for radio lovers, with DAB, DAB+ and FM RDS tuners all available. Internet radio will allow you to listen to shows all around the world. You can also use the Bluetooth and wireless to connect your own music from a compatible device. And, aptX HD technology ensures the wireless connection is as good as a wired one.

Basically put, High-Fidelity sound. It refers to the high-quality reproduction of sound, as opposed to poorer quality sound produced by inexpensive audio equipment. We searched for all of the HiFi systems and speakers that we could find at Currys. In total we found 247 different products available. Up to 2GB of music can be stored in the internal memory using the Jukebox function if you still want to give people some free choice but restrict everything down slightly. You can also access a USB device with Mix Play mode. A large rotary dial allows you to browse the collection before you settle. A three-colour illumination function will further turn your living room into a night out, and the colour will change depending on what you are listening to. The two speakers perform best when as far apart as possible or else sound seems to become a little distorted. We guess they kind of drown each other out. But the wires are quite short, so you aren’t going to be able to spread them too far.

Our first area to study is normally the features. We’ve given a full list of features for JVC RD-D80 Bluetooth All-in-One Hi-Fi System above. This should give you a good idea of how good the product is in terms of features and functionality. So take your time to really understand the sort of product you’re looking for. Think about the sort of features that you need. Which ones are “nice-to-have” and which ones are absolutely critical. If you’re looking for a cheap option then don’t even consider the products that are all signing all dancing because you’ll be paying for features that you don’t need. Choose your retailer wisely You’re also going to want to know how durable the product is, so here we’d advise taking a look at the materials that the HiFi systems and speakers are made from.

Every mini hi-fi is given a Which? test score out of 100, so you can immediately see at a glance which are the best and worst.Connections – USB ports and 3.5mm aux inputs are, again, slowly creeping out of the limelight. But they are still essential for some who want to connect devices which maybe don’t have wifi, or for boosting their sound system with further speakers.
