About this deal

The Jetboil MiniMo is similar to the MicroMo except that it has a larger and wider 1L cook pot that makes it easier to cook with. Besides that, it has the same built-in igniter, pressure regulator, stove, and simmer control as the MicroMo. If you plan on simmering food for 1 or 2 people, the MiniMo’s shape is much easier to cook with because the squat shape makes it easier to stir the contents with a spoon. That is, except for a liquid-feed stove like the MSR Windpro II, Polaris Optifuel, or Whisperlite Universal. These allow you to flip those fuel canisters upside-down, so you don’t have to worry about the cold at all. When placed in front of a desk fan in lab conditions for a five-boil test with Jetboil’s Jetpower 4-season fuel mix, the MightyMo averaged 3:32 to boil two cups of cold tap water. This is close to a minute slower than under calm conditions, rather impressive for a non-heat exchanger based system. For instance, the Stash weighs in at a scant 7.1 oz thanks to its all-titanium burner and FluxRing cookpot. That weight includes everything you need aside from the fuel canister itself, and can be reduced by another 27 grams by leaving out the included folding stabilizer. Another benefit of the regulator is flame consistency regardless of canister volume. This means that in most use cases, outside of extreme cold or brutal winds, users of the MightyMo can more accurately plan how much fuel they carry. Cooking The best video I’ve seen on how to keep your campfire spot safe is the one you’re required to watch to get your California fire permit (even if you don’t live in California, we highly recommend watching it at the top of this section!). The Jetboil MightyMo boiled 10 two-cup pots of tap water at an average of 2 minutes 36 seconds. Conditions were sunny, calm and 54 degrees F at an elevation of 5,778. We used a GSI Halulite Duo cook pot and a new canister of Jetboil’s Jetpower 4-season fuel.Sleeping Accessories All those things you all ways need when camping in the wild spares and extra things to make your stay a little easier However, most people aren’t camping in temperatures cold enough to make a liquid-feed stove necessary (under 15°).

It’s also a great choice if you’re already happy with your cookware setup, and are just in the market for a powerful and lightweight burner. Who shouldn't buy it: MightyMo works together with Skillet and FluxRing Cooking Pot, without the need for the Pot Support. However, the WindBurner Duo is a remote canister stove, which gives it better stability over the Reactor. (Note that the WindBurner Personal doesn’t have the remote canister, so isn’t quite as stable).

MightyMo works together with Skillet and FluxRing Cooking Pot, without the need for the Pot Support. JetPower Fuel, Skillet and FluxRing Cooking Pot sold separately Regulator. Also called a Stove Regulator. Stove regulators help ensure a constant flow of fuel to a stove even as the pressure inside a gas canister drops. This ensures constant performance and boiling times, even as the fuel contents of a gas canister are used up.

In 2021, Jetboil released one of the most anticipated stoves on the market, the Jetboil Stash. The Stash is part minimalist canister stove, part integrated stove. As a result, the Jetboil Stash takes the best parts of both kinds of stoves. It’s lighter and more compact than any other integrated stove on the market, including our winner for integrated stove, the Jetboil Minimo. Yet, the Stash has the fuel efficiency of an integrated system. That’s one reason it almost immediately sold out after its release.

When comparing fuel types, things get surprisingly complicated. I’ll try to summarize without getting too much into the boring details here. The MightyMo will fit one of Jetboil's flux ring pots should you have one, but they are quite pricey so most people will use it with whatever camping cookware they already have. For the testing period I have been trying it with an MSR 1.5 ltr stainless steel pot, an aluminium Primus solo pot, and with a 650 and a 900 ml Alpkit titanium pans. Even if you can’t recycle your canister, trash services prefer crushed cans to ensure that there is no remaining flammable material alongside other trash. A vented can free of fuel is preferable to a non-crushed can regardless of where it goes after you’re done with it.
