Discover an alternate timeline in which the quantum surge that mutated many Maximals and Predacons into Transmetals, goes very differently... In this timeline, the quantum surge kills all Maximals and Predacons, except Tigatron. He survives, but the surge left him severely mutated, aggressive, and savage. He doesn’t remember his allegiance to the Maximals, and another survivor plots to take advantage… With the force of the quantum surge suppressed, there isn't enough power to create the vortex, to save and power up Terrorsaur when he falls into the lava, to mutate Tigatron, or to take out all the Maximals and Predacons. And so the Autobots are never brought through the vortex, Terrorsaur perishes in the lava, Tigatron never mutates, and the Maximals and most of the Predacons survive, getting hit by a less powerful surge that causes some to gain new Transmetal forms.
