In late 1980, Sierra Nevada Founder Ken Grossman set out to make a beer that showcased his love of one particular Pacific Northwest hop: Cascade. Because while Drake’s only currently distributes to California, Arizona, and Nevada, Bear Republic distributes to twenty-three states.
