About this deal

Dom is the mirror image of my soul. The place where all my shadows and every burst of flame are known, understood, and loved.” When she and Dominic collided it was sensual and pure magic. The steam and chemistry was amazing. Yes, the story dragged a little towards the end but I couldn’t care less cause I was captivated with this story and its characters. Old habits, Castle,” I said quietly. “Bad habits. You’re right, of course. Of course you’re right.” As such, the romance in Shatter Me is all very PG-13. There is no smut or explicitly sexual content. Juliette has run off base into an unregulated area. In a fury of rage and betrayal, she destroys a school bus, accidentally projecting her powers. Nazeera appears. Nazeera can fly.

He lost his childhood innocence by witnessing his mother physically getting abused by his father, then loosing her for cancer and year later when he finds his soulmate he lost her for his bestfriend who is like his brother years later being a best man at their wedding 😭😭😭 I am usually hesitant with the dead husband/wife trope. I don't want to feel like the person would choose their "ex" over their current love interest in a second if they had the chance, but at the same time, i don't want their relationship with their "ex" to be diminished into nothing just because time has passed. I want a balance and this book gave it to me. I was in the mood to read about grief and the "forbiden" aspect of it, the hidden feelings, the pining, the longing and this book deliverd. Honestly, the Shatter Me series has never been one of my favorites. Sure, I like it, and I was excited when I saw the news that Tahereh Mafi was planning on releasing (3?) new books in the series, but I wasn’t excited to the point of being over the moon about the new additions. Nazeera appears. She kills the assassin and rushes Juliette to medical help. Warner arrives at the medical wing and accuses Nazeera of arranging the assassination attempt. Juliette comes round and tells him Nazeera saved her. Delalieu seems to have been the conduit that the invites were issued through. He tells Warner that the Supreme Commanders will not speak to Juliette until they have spoken to Warner. Except for Ibrahim, Supreme Commander of Eurasia, whose children are already en route. It was so interesting to see how Juliette, a 17 year old, would handle all the power suddenly at her exposure, as she is the new head of Sector 45. Kenji spins around. Yanks the gun out of Warner’s hand. “What the hell is wrong with you, man? I thought we were cool.” This book bridges the gap between a lot of the info that's been hinted at through out the Shatter Me series, and the deception that's already taken place. It introduces readers to a bigger cast of characters we've not yet met before, but who's homes (sectors), we've previously heard of. Their being apart of this story not only links previous withheld history, it uncovers missing links we've previously not had. It also gives readers a stronger history on their ties to Warner, and Juliette. Though I may not be a fan of all of the characters, I liked their roles in this story, and the over all series. There is a purpose for them being in the story. I know he means a lot to her and shiz but really? Lmfao really? Don't you think maybe this information is pretty important? No? You want to make a dramatic break up scene that I thoroughly enjoyed reading? Yeah okay, makes sense. I wouldn't care about the only blood relation that may actually understand me either. Pfft unimportant. Sara and Sonya can’t touch Juliette to heal her but Warner channels their powers and she is healed.

I’m just done with this. He says he’s been in love with her and he has some respectful behavior towards her but a ton of stupid.

At long last, Warner and Juliette’s future together is within reach, but the world continues to try to pull them apart. Will they finally be able to be happily, officially, together? You read that right. Her name is Emmeline, and it used to be Warner’s job to torture her. Because Warner is a good guy (despite his own doubts), he confesses everything to Juliette the first chance he gets. And she kinda sorta breaks up with him. Nazeera has superpowers. Nazeera tells Juliette the Supremes are not just coming to destroy her, they are planning to kill everyone in Sector 45.

Juliette wakes up in a child’s bedroom for two. She has electronic cuffs on, preventing her powers. Half the room is pink and half purple. There is a desk with letters inside from Anderson to her parents about her – known then as Ella and Emmeline. There are photos of the two sisters. In some of them, she is with Nazeera and Aaron Warner. Juliette's shaved head scene: wait she shaved the whole thing? Or like those cool bad ass edgy half shaved styles? No? The whole thing? Just like Warren? Really? While she was drunk? How did she manage that? Those clippers must be the real deal, that would have taken me forever. Especially drunk? And it looks good? She should consider a new career. Why is everyone cool with this? Why didn't Kenji make a joke about it? Eveyone's too okay with it that it just makes it weirder. Where's the "you really do start to become the person you're dating" joke? No? Okay... :( This book also features some of my favorite chapters/scenes from the Shatter Me series so far. The scenes I speak of all are scenes that include Warner/Juliette and Warner/Kenji.Shatter Me was Mafi’s debut novel and was published when she was only 23 years old. The original trilogy went on to be translated into more than 30 languages and sell more than a million copies. Finally, Warner sits Juliette down and reveals that the people that raised her were her adoptive parents, and that her biological parents gave her up to the Reestablishment when she was five years old. When she was adopted, her memory was erased and she was given the name Juliette Ferrars. Her sister, Emmaline, was also given to the Reestablishment, and was placed in a laboratory for study. She feels like home. She feels like the only person who has ever looked at me and known me in a single second. She feels like every dream I’ve ever had, every wish I’ve ever made, every oath I’ve ever sworn to keep all rolled up into one perfect being.' I’m still so far gone for this woman, captivated by her smile, devastated by the sway of her hips, shattered by the thought of living without her and willing to do anything to stop it from happening.' Dominic: I don't have words to describe him. He is perfect like literally a perfect. I was thinking if he can't be anymore perfect than now and next min he justs do something which will just make me have that heart eyes 😍😍 Seeing the girl you love loving your bestfriend, brother and them together building a life together infront of you is hard to see and I just want to hug him for the pain he had to go through.

Juliette screams, and all 554 Sector leaders plus guests drop dead in a mass of blood. Juliette is lying on the ground in a net of electric wires. Her powers don’t work. There you go! That’s what happened in Unravel Me. Hope youenjoyed this recap of Unravel Me with spoilers.

I loved the relationship that got developed in this book. I loved how they were talking about the grief, because both of them felt the loss. The hero, was rarely jealous of his best friend, he was understanding of the heroin's love for him and i felt like he admired her for it. He helped her deal with her grief and her guilt in a mature way. At the same time he was jealous and possessive with other men flirting with her which was something that satisfied my toxic heart so much. I loved their banter, their tension and their chemistry. Warner warns Juliette about Haider’s sister, Nazeera, who later arrives. Nazeera is wearing a headscarf which points towards her being part of a banned religion. Her hands settle on my hips and pull me forward; I trip a little as I follow her lead. “What are you doing?” I begin to say, but when I meet her eyes I find tenderness and concern. Something thaws inside of me. My shoulders relax and I reel her in, drawing in a deep breath as I do. sloane just needed a hug and to stop catering to everyone else in her life. she was an amazing heroine and her respect for her husband’s family was such a sweet part of the story. but i’m sorry sloane, dom is the absolute star of the show here.
