The Pro Breeze 40-inch Tower Fan is one of the most sizeable models on the market, and with an AC motor rated at a powerful 45 watts, it promises to shift plenty of air. Indeed, our tests confirmed exactly this, but it does so at the cost of noise and pretty basic functionality in comparison to other tower fans. Powerful Cooling: 12 000 BTU cooling capacity for powerful cooling in large spaces and provides effective cooling down to 16 °C. At its lowest setting, this fan accelerated air to an incredible 4.4m/s when measured at 15cm. By 1 metre this had fallen to 2.6m/s; but even at 2 metres it was still 1.7m/s. On full power, we measured 4.8m/s at 15cm, falling to 2.8m/s at a metre and 2.0m/s at 2 metres. Use and features: A remote control is welcome, but overall this fan has few features and its basic controls could be easier to see and use.
