About this deal

The smallest speaker in the Bronze Series houses our renowned C-CAM mid-bass driver and C-CAM Gold dome tweeter to ensure powerful and detailed audio reproduction with an improved stereo performance. Pair it with speakers from Monitor Audio to create a theater system: floorstanding loudspeakers (200 / 500), bookshelf loudspeakers (100), a center-channel loudspeaker (150), a surround loudspeaker (FX), a Dolby Atmos enabled speaker module (AMS), and a powered subwoofer (W10). Cost What this did for the Bronze 50s was infuse the soundstage with air and space that allowed detail to tumble around the soundstage and for emotion to be grabbed and presented to the ear. Though those Dynaudios have more in the way of verve and rhythmic drive, but there’s still enough of both to make the Monitor Audios an enjoyable listen.

Beside the drivers there is a single bass port in each speaker. This means you can place it very close to walls without worrying about bass performance. It can produce detailed and balanced sound. Voices are loud and clear.

SOUND QUALITY

Klipsch is a well-known and reliable brand. Although it is known to produce ‘too bright’ sound, Klipsch already fixed this issue. Klipsch speakers are excellent in terms of performance and features. The cost is reasonable as well. Placed no further than a metre from the rear and side walls in my larger listening room and toed-in a tad, its ability to fill the space with music big-boy style requiring only a modest tweak of volume from a Cambridge CXA61 integrated amp (HFC 459) is very impressive. That 90dB claimed sensitivity seems no exaggeration. When parties with loud music are permitted again, the Bronze 500 and Deep Purple will be ready and willing. For surround or rear speakers, place them 5-7’ above floor. Since it has port in the rear side, you need to keep some space from the wall allowing the speaker can breathe. There is no option for wall mounting. Klipsch R-51M has great imaging and dynamics. It is a powerhouse; the cost is reasonable and it is word buying. The Bronze 100 speakers added both strength but they also revealed more frailty when required because there was always the opportunity to provide a contrast between the strong and the weak. The Bronze 100 speakers, in other words, had a greater musical vocabulary to explain the music in basic terms. The 50s did a great job but they gave you more of an outline when compared to the 100s. The 100s entered into more depth. The newly designed 203mm C-CAM mid-bass drivers feature updated cone geometries and Damped Concentric Mode (DCM) technology.

The design, material and finish work together to give good sonic accuracy. It sits on included rubber feet that eliminates any surface vibration. Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling for highest quality current transfer through the signal chain Unfortunately, our Installation Service excludes all gas appliances. It is the customer’s responsibility to find a gas safe engineer to connect the appliance. Any work conducted by a third part gas safe engineer will be at the customer’s expense and we will not accept any liability for their work. Hence the mids from an acoustic guitar here offered more twang and metallic crispness while the bass had greater impact and tonal balance.Prices valid in stores (all including VAT) until close of business on 29th November 2023. (Some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that you've seen these offers online.) The Bronze 50 is the baby of the Bronze 6G range and its compact dimensions make it ready for anything. They’re ideal for use in smaller rooms as stereo speakers or with the matching W10 subwoofer as a full-range system in larger spaces. The Bronze 50 also lends itself for use in a Bronze AV system as rear/effect speakers. Supplied with rubber feet, the Bronze 50s are stand and shelf friendly. They can also be wall mounted using optional Monitor Audio FIX-M mounts. This sheer musicality overcomes some of the minor flaws that are present in the performance. Compared to the Mission LX-2 which can generally be found for the same price, the Monitor 50’s tonality can be a little brighter and harder and listening to something that is well recorded and focuses on a single instrument like Nils Frahm’s Hammers isn’t as natural as some rivals can achieve, although it is still very very good for a speaker at this price point. It also does a reasonable job of keeping poorer recordings under control and sounding enjoyable and while it wasn’t used for this task, it is more than up to the task of discerning the difference in presentation between the Chord Qutest and the internal decoding of the Star. Start with the speakers placed around 30cm out from the rear wall and experiment from there. It’s worth angling them towards the listening position to focus the stereo imaging, but not so much that the boxes are directly pointing at you. Monitor Audio suggests aiming the tweeters so that they cross around a metre or so behind the listener. That works well for us.

Please note: TV and larger floorstanding speaker deliveries are not available to Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands, and Channel Islands. It’s worth playing around with positioning to maximise the Silvers' ability in this area. In our test room we angle them in slightly towards the listening position, which helps to firm the image up.The tweeter’s so-called Uniform Dispersion Waveguide is essentially the same as that of the Silver series from the range above and acts like a sophisticated phase plug to better control off-axis dispersion from the slightly recessed dome. It also fine tunes time alignment with the large main drivers and slightly lowers the frequency point it hands over to them. Edifier R1280DB are a pair of good-looking speakers. They are a bit larger than PC speakers but smaller than regular sized bookshelf speakers. The drivers are covered by dustproof speaker grille that displays a bright silver line in the middle. There is a LED light on the speaker that indicates power, Bluetooth or input. The wooden cabinet ensures resonance-free sound. These speakers are in another class. They are twice the price and should walk all over the Bronze 100 speakers. Nevertheless, I wanted to see what you get for your money and how the smaller 15i designs coped with their constricted cabinets. Would the Bronze 100 speakers have an advantage in that area? Audioengine A2+ is a set of wireless speakers but needs connection between two of them. Build quality is quite good with MDF. It has internal bracing to minimize any vibration. Sound-damping material is used that eliminates any refection within the speaker. It doesn’t have any grille to protect the drivers. The speaker is video shielded so you can place it near any video monitor. To ensure reliable, undamaged delivery of televisions - TVs will now be shipped on a pallet service with DX Freight, TNT, or Epic Logistics, rather than with our standard next working day courier.

The Bronze 100s may have offered more in bass terms, as I stated above but that isn’t the highlight of these speakers. The highlight is how they integrate that extra bass into the soundstage. There are plenty of speakers out there that would take the extra bass and create a bass monster, a big boomy, beast that would have swamped upper frequency details. Not here.In the market for a pair of budget speakers but looking for something…a little more? Paul Rigby embraces the generously proportioned Bronze 100s C-CAM mid-bass driver featuring updated cone geometries and Damped Concentric Mode (DCM) technology which allows the speaker to have a deeper, fuller sound while retaining a clean and precise presentation Monitor Audio Bronze 50 is made of MDF. It uses braces throughout the enclosure to minimize any resonance or vibration that may affect the sound. It comes with a magnetic grille and has a wood grain finish. The décor is aesthetic, durable and easily fits for home or office use. Build quality is good and you can choose from 4 different color options. Performance: The new Atmos topper is an exciting addition. Surprisingly, it's the first speaker of its type that Monitor Audio has produced, and is designed to dimensionally match the 6in-driver speakers - so the Bronze 50 standmounter and Bronze 200 floorstander. It has its own, upward-firing 4.5in driver.
