About this deal

They were so very soft and utterly adorable in their make-out sessions, but still could find that comfortable ease of being able to talk to one another about their problems. I wish there could have been more of their relationship - more of seeing Brad and Tommy together as a couple, rather than Tommy's continuous futile attempts to make Gabriel suddenly realize that he was the one for him. 🥰🥰 You’re young, you’re going off to school next year, why put all that time into trying to get someone who likes someone else to like you instead?” I definitely think that Erik J. Brown is a new auto-buy author. I loved his first book, All That's Left in the World, and now I also love his second book too! This was really sweet and emotional and just so easy to read, I absolutely flew through it. The main takeaway from this book is about figuring out your future, and how it might not be exactly what you had planned but that that's okay, and I really love that. So much of this book is about romance, but so much of it is also about friendship, and the friendships within this book are OUTSTANDING. The characters are all really loveable, and sure they can be messy and dramatic, but that's part of being seventeen right? I really liked all of the characters, they never felt flat or boring. I think James was one of my favorites, he reminds me of a friend I had in school who was so loud and crazy but the most fun.

I loved every second I spent with these characters and I am very much looking forward for another book by Erik!Brad, who ignored me at school but searched me out at parties in hopes of this fleeting moment where he could be himself. The last verse also indicates a final farewell to her former beau. "And now the chapter is closed and done / To love love, yeah / To love love, yeah / To love, yeah / And now it's goodbye, it's goodbye for us," she sings. After four years of releasing droplet singles, Selena Gomez released “Lose You To Love Me,” a self-love anthem featuring melancholic lyrics about discovering her true self through the difficult process of losing a lover. Tommy is going into his last year of high school and it’s time to plan out his future. When he asks his boss at the retirement community to write him a recommendation for culinary school, she tasks him with training a new hire… who is he? None other than the boy that he fell in love with at summer camp so many years ago, Gabe. BUT HE DOESN’T REMEMBER HIM?!?!?

Selena Gomez's new era in music began at midnight—and her first single, "Lose You to Love Me," is an emotional glimpse at her headspace over the last year. Gomez reflects on reclaiming herself at the end of a relationship, one fans speculated ahead of the song's release was probably hers with Justin Bieber. I loved the cooking aspect, and the retirement home that Tommy worked at felt so real and was well developed and fleshed out. All of the residents had character and I especially loved Al and Willa. I loved this advice that Willa gave: The story starts out very promising. It has all the cute yearning and awkward/adorable moments that make for a feel-good love story. However, the dynamic between the two love interests get very jumbled up after about a third of the way through. The situation continues to devolve for the remaining two thirds of the book. I do enjoy a fair bit of conflict to push relationships to evolve throughout a story, but after listening for multiple hours about the two screwing up and miss communicating the story started to fall flat. At one point towards the end the main character just got almost unbearable. So, while it was annoyingly aggravating to see the lengths to which Tommy devised so many futile attempts to somehow lure Gabriel into believing that they were destined to be together - I believed it. Who hasn't done something inconceivable to try to have something done our way, or even have convince someone to act in a certain manner? 🥺 Usually my favorite character of every book is the female lead, because the book is usually written from their perspective. And so it sort of is here, too. B’s written from both Raine & Caleb’s POV, and this time, I am so, SO much on team Caleb that it’s hard for me to see past his pain. Not that I am not team Raine, but oh my heart hurts so bad for Caleb. (And here come those pesky tears again)Not are they dealing with the breakup and trying to move on separately but their parents are also going through some tough times. After their final breakup, a source would tell Entertainment Tonight in August 2018 (Bieber and Baldwin were engaged then) that Gomez's friends didn't like Bieber. "Selena is such a catch, and her friends want her to be with someone who's worthy of her," the source said. "They really didn't like Justin and her together. He didn't appreciate what he had in her." You turned me down, and now it's showing Lose You to Find Me is book 3 in the Lindon U series. Book 2, Beg You to Trust Me, ended with a main side character, Caleb, getting down on one knee to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Raine. She said no, and I’ve been waiting for this story ever since. Super cute YA second chance romance’ish that’s equal coming-of-age (Rom-Dramedy). An ode to young restaurant workers. It’s adorable!! 🥹 This was very high on my most anticipated releases of the year, and I was not disappointed. The story touched on a lot of difficult topics, but was really cohesive, and well structured. Whilst grief and loss were huge themes, they were subtle and didn't overshadow the story.

Usually with these books the title comes from something the main characters say, and technically that can be said about this. But i feel like this is far from accurate since in my eyes no one found themself by leaving them since they never really did leave each other. Rather the moment Caleb lost his dad, he found what really matters to himself and he finally put his happiness first.

Nothing begs for interpretation more than breakup songs released by celebrities going through intensely scrutinized breakups. And although Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber called it quits in March of 2018, Bieber's recent and lavish wedding to one Hailey Baldwin has left the public holding their breath for a comment from Gomez. Now, the wait is over, because "Lose You to Love Me" is here. Erik’s a great YA storyteller, writing humorous and relatable characters just trying to figure themselves out during their senior year with college on the horizon. All the characters and their friendship were great. The growth and development - exceptional! The setting was interesting and fresh for the genre, I preferred that it was set more in the workspace than school, because it really highlighted the characters and boosted the story. Admittedly, I wasn't a huge fan of Tommy's character at first, and that was largely because of the cheating and disregard for other people's feelings, but really admired the character growth that he went through and eventually ended up warming to him. I loved the representation, the settings and just the whole truth about being a young person trying to figure out their life.

The old folks at the retirement home were…. boring. Sorry! I know they were supposed to be charming and funny and endearing, and probably comedic relief, but they truly made me feel *nothing*. I just didn’t care about them.
