About this deal

Traditional vampiric attributes such as immortality and healing, superhuman strength and speed, heightened senses (including night vision), hypnosis, and the ability to transform into a bat (or to manifest bat-like wings), a wolf or werewolf-like creature, or a cloud of fog And then the big twist with who the Vampire king turned out to me.. okay they really did that.. I wasn't expecting that but okay the whole twist actually leaves on a pretty good mark and will make you keep reading future volumes or spin offs and it's actually a pretty good status quo because this guy is like the heart of DC/superheroes but now it's gonna be awesome to see how the whole thing is resolved or how it plays out. Loved it. In the tradition of DCEASED comes a new, terrifying story from the minds of James Tynion IV, Matthew Rosenberg, and Otto Schmidt ( Future State: Catwoman). DC VS. VAMPIRES, is a special, standalone twelve-issue maxiseries, that will pit the Justice League against a secret army of vampires, leaving our heroes unsure of who they can trust. Batman Begins: League of Shadows ( Ra's al Ghul& Ra's Decoy) | Scarecrow | Falcone Crime Family ( Carmine Falcone, Victor Zsasz& Arnold Flass) | Joe Chill

And as cheesy as this thing sounds, it's right there in my personal wheelhouse of fun comics, so I'm looking forward to reading the next volume. Psychokinesis: Most vampires possess some form of psychokinesis. Some are clairvoyant, others can communicate telepathically, some possess mind control. Particularly powerful vampires can control the minds of several people at once. J. M. DeMatteis pitched the series to editor Len Wein under the title "Greenberg". Wein liked the concept, but rejected the title and suggested "I...Vampire" instead. [2] DeMatteis would later revive the title for his 1985 Marvel Graphic Novel Greenberg the Vampire.James Tynion IV, known for other acclaimed horror comics such as Something is Killing the Children& The Department of Truth, Vol 1: The End of the World plays to his strengths when integrating the world of DC canon, with the horror elements of Vampires. Andrew Bennett has the powers of an elder vampire, as according to the DC Universe. [3] He can transform into mist, a bat, and a wolf [4] and he has superior strength far beyond that of a mortal man. He is immortal and possesses the ability to turn others into vampires, a healing factor, hypnosis and limited telepathy. His image cannot be seen, such as being reflected in a mirror or captured on film.

Vampires are quietly taking over everything. They've turned high-ranking Justice League members and are killing off villains that might oppose them. And the mystery that Batman needs to solve is who is their leader now that Mary, Queen of Blood is dead?

Funny things. you spent so much time with you Bat-Family when you should have been looking out for your Other- family, Timmy.

Batman Ninja: Joker | Harley Quinn | Catwoman | Gorilla Grodd | Bane | Penguin | Poison Ivy | Deathstroke | Two-Face Immortality: So long as vampires continue to consume blood, they will not age beyond the physical state they were in when they first became a vampire.

By the time Batman & Green Arrow start investigating the affair, they’ve already managed to infiltrate the inner circle of the League, and the uncertainty surrounding whose turn allows them a chance to infect even Superman. Of course, this is an Elseworlds, so there's a lot of murder, but it never feels gratuitous or in there for the sake of it. Any death is either inevitable, in service of propelling the story forward, or to prove a point about the characters involved, so that's nice. Matthew Rosenberg (with a story assist by James Tynion IV) manages to make the story believable even while never forgetting it's about superheroes and vampires, so it should be inherently dumb too. It’s just hard seeing how our heroes can come out on top in this scenario when the enemy is just as dedicated, just as powerful, greater in number and right now holds every advantage. That night, Batman arrives in the Batcave to find Alfred Pennyworth waiting for him. Alfred reveals that a nervous, bandaged man had arrived at Wayne Manor earlier that day seeking to speak with him. Alfred hands Batman a note from that man - Andrew Bennett - and holding the syringe, says that he wanted Batman to know that Lex Luthor might have just saved the world.
