The characters are basically all unlikeable, which I normally struggle with. But I loved it in this book! I did start warming towards one of the characters near the end. The way the book ended has me feeling so conflicted. I loved the empowerment message but I also root for a happily ever after! Although I know I shouldn’t be expecting that in a thriller, the ending was definitely fitting for the genre. I admit that I am a fan of other peoples drama, so I lapped this up! Now I feel a little lost, like I need to find some more drama to fill my time!

Liv pushes herself so hard to stay professional, restraining her feelings when she’s around Ransom but their attraction is palpable and undeniable. On the other hand, the writers think for reboot of the show with radical changes which probably affect Liv’s decisions to be part of the show! 🎥 Côte d'Azur, Spring 2017, Thomas did not meet Pannie and Maxime since school days, although they were the best friends, combining the friendship of Finka distinctive. And here is a party for the Lassian orphans who have come together. Twenty-five years ago, in very mysterious circumstances, they all committed a terrible crime, and the body of the dead man was seen in the wall of the gymnasium that would emerge after the party to build a new building. A time bomb will inevitably explode to show the truth and reveal the secrets. Not that he has all that much school spirit, or all that great memories, much less friends from those days. Are you ready for six--yes, SIX--POVs? Okay, before I even dig into the the POV-party, I wanna say that there is a Novella that PRECEDES the is book, titled THE ONE NIGHT, and you should absolutely read it first. No, you don't have to. You won't necessarily be lost if you don't, but it is a great intro and really adds to this book if you read it first. The Reunion is told in alternating chapters, between the current day and the past (leading up to the current day), so each of the events and twists (and there are SO many twists!) are slowly revealed, right up to the very end. The actual event that sparked Emily’s desire for revenge didn’t feel as overwhelmingly damaging and life destroying to me? Maybe I’m just not as easily embarrassed 😅 but that feeling didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story at all. The author kept the level of suspense up for the entire story and made sure we never really knew who was trustworthy and who had something to hide. Fans and critics alike have to wonder: Will the world finally get the answers they’ve begged for in this reunion special? Rounded down from roughly 4.5 stars ⭐️ this was my first book by Polly Phillips but I will definitely be grabbing her debut now!

The Reunion is mostly narrated by Thomas Degalais, an author who very much resembles author Musso himself, from his enormous success -- "I had written a dozen novels that had been translated into twenty languages and sold millions of copies all over the world" -- to the year (though admittedly not day) of their births (1974). So Thomas goes into the reunion certain that in a few week's time his life as he knows it will be over. Ford Chance: As the eldest Chance, Ford is such a stuffy fella who is all work and no play. His bullheaded attitude kind of blinds him to his siblings concerns and it was frustrating at times because he was being so difficult! Emily is clearly a distressed and unfulfilled woman and yet as we learn more about her it appears that she used to be confident and popular.

Need Help?

I really enjoyed this sweet closed door romance. I'm a big fan of both second chance and friends to lovers tropes so this one was a total win for me. While I typically prefer a bit more spice, I can certainly appreciate this for the sweet romance it is and the chemistry between Liv and Ransom was definitely there. The side characters were wonderfully written and I would absolutely love to read a second book about Bre and Ford. I also loved the additional tabloid article inserts between chapters and thought they were a fun way to mix things up. This celebrity focused story had me reminiscing about some of my favorite shows from my youth like Dawson's Creek, The OC and One Tree Hill. If you love celebrity gossip and seeing your favorite stars fall in love then you'll love this book! The Reunion is one of those books that plays greatly on secrets and how those who keep them are capable of doing far more damage than we could ever imagine. I really enjoyed how we a led to believe that our footing is so very strong in our convictions. We are after all told the tale by the very victim of said crime. And it feels so comfortable and easy to go along with all this. Why not after all we are told the truth and our aim on these villainous people is so very true. And as we come face to face with our rouges gallery they all seem to play up to their stereotypes. It is far too easy to believe ill of someone when they display all those inherently suspicious characteristics that we associate with those who wish us harm. But this also goes to show us the skill of the writer she plays each hand well and to me at least none of them descend into some sort of pantomime villainy. But is all as we perceive perhaps not and what we do get to see is that even what may be perceived as the most solid of friendship groups can in fact be very toxic. Undenether the surface miss trust and jealousy can run rampant and when communication has completely broken down it is far ti easy to jump to conclusions. Emily had been friends with Will, Lyla, & Henry, three rich popular students & had become part of their world for a time, or so she thought. What happened to her though, showed her that they were never really her friends & now the perfect time has come to take her revenge. All three will be there this weekend & Emily's going to unmask them for what they really are.

Y protéjase de los capullos. Siguiendo el ejemplo de los estoicos, no olvide que la mejor forma de defenderse de ellos es procurar no parecerse a ellos." There is quite a bit of sibling fighting towards the last quarter of this book and boy did it have me stressed! These three really went at each other's throat and it not only put their relationships with one another in jeopardy, it also almost costs them each the loves of their lives.Vinca ran away with her philosophy teacher. Or that's what they want you to think. Three friends are reunited 25 yrs later for a school reunion, where secrets are exposed, and lives are changed forever. We have multiple POVs that I found fun to read, but it is hard getting everyone straight. 6 POVs! Holy hell. This book reminds me a bit of my queen Elin Hilderbrand’s writing (I am thinking of Beautiful Day), which is always a good thing in my book. Your family. Jorge’s words clang around in my ears, but Dad doesn’t flinch. He gives me a wide grin and wraps his arm around my shoulders. My T-shirt clings to my skin. Martin and Peggy were absolutely delightful parents! They were fun loving and quite the jokers. I was rolling with some of the things they'd say, and Martin's coloring was good stuff.

Who doesn’t love a good revenge drama with manic characters, a creepy, eerie atmosphere and a cleverly arranged plot…….. The French Riviera-set series adapted from Guillaume Musso's bestselling novel, shot on location in the south of France last summer. Ioan said part of what attracted him to the show was the location. Meghan Quinn really wrote a book where three sets of relationships were developing at the same time and let me say this shit was torture. Why was it torture? Because Quinn was jumping from POV to POV when sexy times were being initiated and it was torturous! Thomas can get a bit ponderous along the way -- well, you know: "In my search for Vinca, I was also -- perhaps especially -- investigating himself". I’m all for women not being victims/doormats and if there is one thing that Polly does superbly is create great female characters. Whether they are good or bad you can’t help but like them. Lyla was glorious in all her abysmal glory and I was longing for her comeuppance.
