About this deal

I am happy that they both got over their fears, which made them to want to resume their relationship again with a fresh start. Authors, if you are a member of the Goodreads Author Program, you can edit information about your own books. Find out how in this guide. Nash and Violet's story is a steamy, second-chance sports romance with a grumpy, overprotective hero, angst, and a slow burn that turns sizzling. i’d like everyone to take at least a second to appreciate the maturity and patience and outright restraint of this heroine. if a 6’4 monstrosity of muscle covered in tattoos and chiselled features was sitting half naked in front of me, you can bet your ass my ass has assumed the position #shameless. vi possess demonic levels of self-restraint my thirsty ass does not apparently.

Meeting freshman year of college, Nash has eyes for only one girl until his past issues start to affect their relationship. After breaking her heart, Nash finds himself in close proximity of Violet in senior year when she becomes his athletic trainer. There was mention of Bailey having trouble having Os. His response was amazing, but I expected this to play out in the bedroom, but nope. Immediately orgasming with him every single time. I really wanted it to happen because we never ever see this. Women don’t always have orgasms or struggle to have them, and it would have been so amazing to see this in a book.

They were a couple before, until Nash decided to break up with Violet because of his family problems. I do understand that he done it for a reason, but he hurt Violet. And she was still feeling the hurt through the book. That was the main reason that she decided not to trust him that easily. The sparks, the love and the heat between both of them were again... still there. I am happy that there wasn't that much of tug and pull between them. Violet was scared that Nash will hurt her again, and he was scared for the same thing, with the exception that he was determined not to do the same mistake twice. I really enjoyed the chapter lengths as well, they weren't long but they weren't short. They were perfect, in my opinion, because the length and the words didn't give me enough time to be bored whenever the next chapter would be right around the corner. Her little white lie puts her in the crosshairs of Satan in a suit in the name of Bennet Bradford. He is a handsome man with a rough heart and she learned this the hard way.

Nash and Violet were a pretty good couple. The trope was definately ex-lovers-lovers to friends-friends to lovers. Before we know it, the boundaries begin to blur until we can’t see them anymore. But with so much on the line, I'm risking a lot more than just my heart this time. Other than that, she prides herself on being a discovery writer, and as such, her stories sometimes take unexpected turns depending on where her characters lead. Given the chaotic nature of her writing, the duration it takes for her to get her works published varies from a few months to several years.I wanted to read something light since I'd been continuously reading dark romances. At the same time a bit angsty read and "the one who got away" trope always serves as an angsty read. The medical issue with Bailey seemed weird. It was randomly brought up, then never again, and then asked about at the end. I don’t understand why the large gaps between the information. It also added nothing to the story or her character, especially after it is revealed what it is. After what happened last time, I know better than to fall for Nash again. Not to mention, there’s a strict no-fraternization policy between trainers and their athletes. Problem is, our chemistry is hotter than ever—and he’s determined to make me give him another chance.. But their chemistry is as hot as it has ever been and he seems hellbent on convincing her that he deserves another chance. Before they know it the boundaries are blurring until they ultimately disappear.

One last thing, the spice was...immaculate to say the least. I can't even begin to explain where my head and voice went with the spice. My spice rating says it all. Following a string of scandals and substandard grades, Chase is on thin ice with his teammates and tyrannical coach. The last thing he needs is to have his focus and loyalty called into question by fraternizing with his team's #1 rival. But a beautiful stranger who throws herself at him one night is too tempting to pass up... Until she throws up on his shoes. The conflict was not threaded throughout the plot enough. It would be non existent and then, bam, a chapter with one of the exes, and then they would go away and all would be well. The build of the conflict needed to start earlier and have a better build up. Because so much of the book was them in their happy phase, a lot of it read like we were just following along on their daily lives, little to no plot, character or relationship development. The Enforcer” by Avery Keelan is the beautiful romance story of Nash and Violet. He had been her first boyfriend who was her first love, her first time, her first heartbreak, and her first everything.Lastly, one thing that grated on my nerves more than anything, throughout the book was that, even while claiming to love each other, they went around and slept with different people. Early on, Keelan went to college where she studied Psychology and Commerce, specializing in government legislation and policy. After graduation, she went on to work for the government but always desired to become a fiction author. The heroine having a hard time having an O was definitely unique and I loved how the hero handled it. There were a lot of parts that just never came to fruition. He never ever meets her parents, but does something pretty big to help them. Even in the epilogue there is no mention of ever meeting them. This was so odd to me. Otherwise Engaged” by Avery Keelan is another beautiful romance between Thayer and Bennett. The former believed that pretending she had a boyfriend would help to get her out of trouble, only to find that it landed her in more.

However, fate seems to conspire against her as she is assigned to have her senior athletic internship with her ex’s team. She will now be working closely with Nash, the only man she ever loved but who had left her in a heap in her freshman year.He just learned that the beautiful girl he had been seeing on the university campus was the daughter of Coach Ward. He made a mental note to himself to stay as far away as possible from her. I loved the aspect of Chase’s story that we don’t normally see in a sports romance. Very interesting to see the male POV and have a bit of role reversal.
