About this deal

Since its original launch in the 1980s, the Henry vacuum range has been a staple of homes and offices. But as the range grows, which one is best for you? It can be tempting to see your vac as a catch-all solution to all the mess and spills home life can throw at you, but there are a lot of materials that can harm its performance or even break it. Smaller items will be delivered by our courier delivery service and generally will be 2-4 working days. With a six Litre capacity, Hetty is the same size as the Henry 160-11, but is smaller than the Henry 200-11 which comes in at 9 litres. So is Hetty smaller than Henry? It all depends on which model you’re comparing against.

The hoses only give an extra metre or two in terms of extra reach. However, the cord winds out for up to 26 metres, which is the average length a Henry vacuum cleaner can stretch to. If you own a flat, the Henry will be able to clean the whole place without you having to unplug and move. Energy Efficiency If there are access difficulties, which prevent our driver from delivering the goods into your property, you can request that we drop the items off outside for you to take in yourself. It’s not nearly as heavy as you would think for all those extras. It isn’t expensive, it doesn’t make much noise. British manufacturer Numatic International has expanded the Henry Hoover range over the years to provide their first vacuum cleaner with some much needed company. There’s now fourteen different products in the Henry range, including a number of different Henry Hoover names which make up the Henry Hoover family. There’s Hetty, who’s also known as the female Henry Hoover, as well as James, Harry, George and Charles, the latter two which are wet and dry vacuums.

Henry is the stalwart of this range: tough, durable and easy to use. There may be lighter and sleeker models available, but it is by no means too cumbersome and its impressive storage capacity, means you’ll have plenty of time before you need to change the bags.

Probably best known for this appearance – something which has helped to make this vacuum cleaner something of a celebrity and household name – it shouldn’t be forgotten that he is also a very capable vacuum. Whilst the look and feel has remained pretty similar over the years, a number of tweaks have been made to improve his performance, ensuring that this vacuum continues to be the go to choice for many homes and workplaces. Upright vacuum cleaner Good for larger homes. You push it in front of you and don't have to bend down to clean. Most have turbo brushes. Weight This can range from as little as 2kg to more than 10kg. If you know you'll have to carry it around, opt for a lighter model.Upright vacs are good for covering large floor areas, particularly carpets. You can vacuum in a more upright position and easily weave round furniture. They're generally better for getting hair and fluff out of carpets, too. Henry Allergy: Henry Allergy greatly reduces your exposure to allergens if they cause you problems. Its FreeFlo Tool and 3-Stage Hepa Filtration help keep your allergy symptoms under control. Since its launch, the Henry range has become something of an icon in the cleaning world. Although features vary from model to model there are some common ones that include: Suction is reflected in two ways with the Henry vacuum cleaner range. It is either a result of the maximum energy outage that the model in question has, or it is marked as a class rating. For example, the class rating of the Harry pet hair removing Henry is a Class C. If you want maximum suction, you have to go for bigger numbers. So where the Harry is a 620 w, the basic Henry has the option to go up to 1200 w. This will have more suction power. On average, corded vacuums are still a better bet if you want a good-value deep clean, or have a larger home. But the best cordless vacuums are just as good as corded equivalents, and many people love how light and manoeuvrable they are.

Henry’s little sister is Hetty. She comes with all the same features as Henry, but the introduction of Eco technology helps you to save the planet and your wallet at the same time. A smaller size means she’s easier to store, but a 9-litre bag capacity, means there’s plenty of dust storage room. While the traditional Henry has an A class energy efficiency rating, other models don’t match it. The worst is actually the Harry, which has a C class energy efficiency rating. It is important because a higher consumption vacuum cleaner will use more, costing you more in power. They aren’t as environmentally friendly either, so if being E-friendly is important to you the basic Henry is the better model. Size & Shape She’s been well designed with a small profile and cylindrical shape which makes her easy to store when you’re not using her. However, within that is plenty of power and space to store large amounts of dust and dirt. There is essentially no difference between the Hetty and Henry, other than her appearance. You can read our full review of this machine here. The Harry has won Which? Best Buy awards for basically being brilliant. It’s good enough at removing pet hair that they give it their stamp of approval. To make sure your delivery goes as smoothly as possible, we need to know about any potential access or parking restrictions, which may cause problems. Please consider all the following factors: Parking RestrictionsCurrys has a solid mix of uprights and cordless alternatives, with models, including the Dyson V8 Animal and Shark Anti Hair Wrap IZ201UK Cordless.

However, Charles is quite a bit lighter than George and doesn’t come with as many accessories as his older brother. The main thing missing with Charles when compared to George is the extra carpet / upholstery cleaner. If this is something you require, then you’d be better off going for George, but if it’s something you don’t feel you need, then Charles is the man for you as he’s generally cheaper than George and lighter.Harry is a lot like his older brother Henry except he’s been design specifically for pet lovers. So, if you have a few four-legged friends running around this could be for you. From 2017 to 2019, all vacuum cleaners made or imported in the EU could have a motor of no more than 900W, and had to abide by minimum performance, noise and durability restrictions. The rules were annulled after a successful appeal by Dyson. The EU is working on a revised version, which could have its remit broadened to include cordless options. The cleaner also comes with a bunch of tools and add-ons: including smaller brushes, a thin crevice tool and different sized steel tubes. There’s no supplied bag or space in/around Henry to put them, though. Regardless, they’re a tight fit, without the need for suction clips or the like, and didn’t slip off during testing.
