SNR ..........................................................................................................103dB As we end off Part II with a detailed look at PCM fidelity, I can say that from an objective fidelity perspective, basically what I'm seeing is an ESS ES9038PRO-based DAC that's performing on par with the best devices available today as published here and on other audiophile objective measurement sources. The XLR 4.77Vrms output is clean with dynamic range of 130dB and 0dBFS THD+N better than -123dB. In a similar way, the RCA 2.35Vrms unbalanced output gives us an excellent THD+N of -120dB. On my more complex Triple-Tone signal, I'm seeing a TD+N of -118dB through the XLR and -111dB through the RCA which are again excellent. Notice that the only mentionable difference is that DACs do have slight frequency response variations, but even this is less than 1dB difference up at 20kHz (and often this is a reflection of the filter selected). I listened to the amp with my favorite Audiophile Playlist for 1 hour yesterday, it is really impressive @ first listening. Seems promising in relation to its ration performance / price. You have the possibility to adjust the bass / treble, the amp also has some presets, I'm not a fan of it, I left it in "direct" mode. Low pass cutoff frequency...................................................................70~200Hz Build quality is definitely a step up vs some smaller/cheaper Aiyimas I've been messing with lately. Well, at least fit and finish - I can't comment on the internals. In fact the amp is using exactly the same components as the SMSL DA 9. The design is just different.Initial impressions are great. No noise that I can hear (disclaimer: I'm in my early 50s). It's driving these speakers with plenty of volume, and I haven't tried to really push it yet. At about 30 min of steady medium-high volume it's cool to the touch. Overall, this is a phenomenal performance level for a modern PCM DAC for both RCA and XLR line-level outputs.

Since I own almost all TPA325X in the market and some Hypex Ncore and Purifi at home, I can tell you that it is pretty good even very good in comparison ... for the little that I have heard. THD+N ...................................................................................................0.004% I tried to open the case to take pictures of the module, the PCB etc .. but unfortunately it is complicated to dismantle ...

Subwoofer mode

Subwoofer output level..............................................................................2Vrms The amp is made in an aluminum case, it feels sturdy and beefy. The front of the amp has a mirror front and the volume controller has a dual function (volume and selector). When you press a few seconds on it , it powers ON / OFF. The amps also comes with a remote control.
