About this deal

Their relationship grows, but they have some inner problems. Kaya isn't sure whether she is just a "meal" for him, just his secretary, or something more. Kyouhei believes that Kaya is only doing her secretarial duty by keeping her boss in good health, which is what she says, but he wants her to let her guard down. Kyouhei is also a very prideful vampire and it's looked down upon to fall in love with a human. I honestly haven’t read much new manga lately. I’ve spent most of my time reading non-graphic novels and non-fiction books, so my manga reading list has grown steadily longer, causing much anxiety. Also, because I tend to read series when I buy them, it’s taken me ages to get through manga these days. That’s been the main reason behind the delay in Dorohedoro updates, and why I haven’t written a review of Witch Hat Atelier even though I really love it. I’m just following everything very slowly and buying volumes when I can. This manga series is for mature audience readers only. Oh my! While the last volume has some mature content this one is much more geared to adult manga fans. Office, vampire romance here we go! He shows her his new office, and declares that he owns the building, right before taking her as his own again. She questions him about him starting a business, and it seems he will. The good parts were. the family drama, art was nice. There were boobs even though the sex was pretty weak. And i like boobs. Drama plus boobs = 3/10 1 for each boob

Art: It's curious, I know the manga is from the 2000s, but his art looks older, I'm not very used to that style, but it's not bad art, just different. I'll keep collecting this in German, and will probably collect Akuma to Love Song in German, too, with this quality of work. Noble Demon: The leader of the vampire clan. Although he disapproves Kyouhei and Kaya, even banishing him from the clan, he still upholds his end of the bargain. In this volume Kaya is coming to terms with her feelings for Director Touma. However when his brother confronts her about it, her emotional turmoil over him causes her to change positions in the company. Kyouhei Touma sends her on such a roller coaster. He is cold toward her one moment yet desiring her blood the next. I must give Kaya some due credit. she puts up with him and all his issues and still maintains her duties as an amazing secretary. Characters: Nah, none of them impacted me that much, of course, I still find vampire characters very hot, which makes me like Touma a little, but apart from that, it only makes me slightly resentful of him and his arrogant personality. Kaya is so disappointing, again following the law of weak woman in vampire stories, the amount that this woman devalues herself is bizarre, since when does a secretary have the same role as a private prostitute? Kaya needs to learn about two things: Self-love and the true role of a secretary.Kyohei on the other hand is in complete denial of his feelings and it makes him act out in even more brutish and arrogant ways. Some hilarious and seriously steamy scenes unfold as we find out how far each character is willing to go to accept and or deny their feelings. We also get to meet some new characters and find out some more about Vampire lore in this world. The vampire mythology laid out is interesting and I hope we get to learn even more in future volumes. I am once again left curious at the end of this volume. I really want to know what sort of business that Kyohei is planning to start. For Kyouhei Touma, she was careful to note various details of his appearance depending on the setting of the scene. In particular, his hair was the most difficult to draw. [7] Manga [ edit ] What If the Baby Is Like Me: Reason why Kyouhei doesn't want to have kids, and is meticulous about condom usage. He has to get over it in the final volume, when Kaya becomes pregnant, and the baby is clearly a powerful vampire.

This is part one of the three part serial series, Vampire CEO by Erin R. Bedford. I’ve never read anything by Ms. Bedford before so I really had no idea what to expect and what a wonderful surprise this was. He is charming, arrogant, lustful, irritating and well, a vampire. She is charming, uke (muahaha), strict, loyal and well, a secretary. The first impression is very important and you will get it very easy when they argue, even in the first chapter what a secretary should be - attractive jewel or productive employee. And since she discovers the secret of him being a Midnight Secretary ( Japanese: ミッドナイト·セクレタリ, Hepburn: Middonaito Sekuretari ) is a supernatural romance manga series by Ohmi Tomu that was serialized in the manga magazine Petit Comic since 2006, with the 34th and final chapter published in the May 2009 issue. [1] The serial chapters were collected in seven shinshobon volumes by Shogakukan. Viz Media licensed the series and released the first volume on September 3, 2013. [2]

Enjoyment: Well, like I said before, it was fun like reading a fanfic until one part, after that it got boring.

He never coerces Kaya, mostly teases her and unstintingly tells her helpful her excellent work is for his own work. She develops a desire to protect him, because she can see him giving his best to his own job and doing the dirty work so his brother and father look good to everyone else. Erin Bedford is an otaku, recovering coffee addict, and Legend of Zelda fanatic. Her brain is so full of stories that need to be told that she must get them out or explode into a million screaming chibis. Obsessed with fairy tales and bad boys, she hasn’t found a story she can’t twist to match her deviant mind full of innuendos, snarky humor, and dream guys. there's a certain amount of effort to keep a distance is very disheartening. Even after they realize they're love there are still walls up. Like I stated above, this series is ramping up the sexual content. So steamy scenes will occur! I love the artwork and how the characters are drawn. Their expressions and body language says so much into the story!

Mistaken for Pregnant: About two thirds of the way through the series, Kaya is taken into protective custody by vampire council higher-ups, because they believe she's pregnant to Kyouhei. When asked about her diet and iron supplements, Kaya points out she's anemic (since she's feeding a vampire regularly!). She's been looking at baby clothes because she thought they were cute and she has a friend and former co-worker who's pregnant. Which becomes hilarious when Kaya falls pregnant for real some time later. This incident also triggers Kyouhei into taking his future with Kaya more seriously, setting up his own research project to find a blood substitute that can sustain him, unlike the kind that is already in general use. Spotting the Thread: How Kaya works out that something's actually very odd about Kyouhei, not just him being so dedicated to his work that he has most of his intimate encounters in his office between meetings and calls. Kaya notices that all his various women come out of his office far paler and often far more shaky than when they came in. She comes to the conclusion that drugs are involved (to be fair, it's a far more logical conclusion), and stays late to search his office, only to accidentally witness his latest tryst, complete with blood drinking. Kyouhei finds the whole situation amusing.

I am left wondering not only about this business Kyohei will start with his wonderfully dedicated secretary/lover, Kaya, but also about how much he will open his heart and allow Kaya in.General thoughts: I was very surprised to find this book in my local train station book store - the US hasn't had any of Tomu Ohmi's mangas licensed yet, and although this series was quite popular in scanlation circles I hadn't heard of a German license. Story: Well, the story is that classic "I'm a badass vampire and you're a stupid human, haha inferior race" narrative. It might sound really silly, but for a teenager who was obsessed with vampires and Twilight it was enough, at least until the middle of the story, until the narrative got really boring with all that stuff about Kyouhei sleeping with women all the time while Kaya Tomu, Ohmi (2007). "Chapter 2". Midnight Secretary (in Japanese). Vol.1. Shogakukan. p.50. ISBN 978-4-09-130857-3. Sometimes, feelings get you so confused that you don't know what to do. That's what happens to Kaya in this volume. She's a smart young woman, who makes a wonderful secretary for Director Kyohei. But, it's obvious that she has fallen head-over-heels for him. She's tired of seeing women streaming in-and-out of his office, with none of them--even her--being anything more to Kyohei than just a constant and consistent food source.
