Pre-review: Why are all old-timer YA authors revisiting their debuts these days? First Tahereh Mafi, then Marie Lu, and now Julie Kagawa. Regardless, that seemed a bit extreme. It’s not like the Iron fey have threatened anyone since the war with Ferrum.

Naja das stimmt nicht so ganz. Ich wurde tatsächlich dazu gedrängt, diese Serie zu lesen, weil es die Lieblingsserie einer Freundin war. With this being said, I'm sure for long-time fans of the series, this book is full of nostalgic content and it will be even more wonderful for them to read. It has been a while since I've ran into Robin Goodfellow. So I was very excited to dive into The Iron Raven. Especially since it has been on my TBR for a year - exactly a year. After diving into this, I'll admit that things were okay. I liked seeing everyone from Julie's previous series but I was also really worried about Robin and the world. I also noticed a lot of repetition The Iron Sword right from the beginning, as in, the first 3% of the book. That’s not a good start.Thank you so much to the publisher, Inkyard Press, for providing me with a copy to read and and review. Recommended paints: White Scar , Celestra Grey , Soulblight Grey , Mephiston Red , Wild Rider Red Space Marines: Scions of Macragge Banished from the Winter Court for daring to fall in love, Prince Ash achieved the impossible and journeyed to the End of the World to earn a soul and keep his vow to always stand beside Queen Meghan of the Iron Fey. I wanted the same cheesy young nostalgia from the original but with some juicy adult humor/story thrown in too and while it definitely delivered on the nostalgia end, the other end was missing and I felt that lost piece. I wanted a bit of the story or characters to have grown with me too. And while many years have passed in the story I just didn't feel like anything much had matured along with the passing of time and that was a let down to me. As a new Chapter, the Iron Ravens are seeking to master their own destiny [1], away from that of the Raven Guard [3], and want to become stronger than the Iron in their name. This has led them to inspire to become like steel and the higher the Iron Ravens rise in rank, the more blue they wear on their power armour [1]. Due to this, the Chapter's veterans wear blue on their arms and pauldrons, while Captains will also have blue chest armour. Iron Ravens' ranks are also indicated by the distinct markings on their helmets. [3] Known Members

Ich hoffe das der letzte Teil aus Megan POV geschrieben ist. Würde den Wechsel zu Ashs POV im zweiten Teil jedenfalls erklären. Then a spinoff/ continuation series came out, The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten. I didn’t love it, but it was fine. Then that was over. The bad guy was defeated. The heroes lived happily ever after. And it was over. Except it still wasn’t! Iron Ravens Chapter Colour Scheme as displayed by Primaris Marine Brother Karludo, 2nd Company, 3rd Squad (battleline). I don’t want to spoil the particulars of what Evenfall is, but I do think it works well within Kagawa’s established lore. I also liked the connections she drew between the real world and fae elements.I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. My opinion of this brand-new series will differ vastly from the many fans of the Iron Fey world. As you know based on my review of Shadow’s Legacy, I am an Iron Fey newbie so I am looking at this world through a fresh pair of eyes and by golly I had a wonderful experience.

The Iron Queen glared at us all. "All those things, I suppose," she said in a flat voice that hinted at retribution later on. I have read all the books in this series and I have to say this was not the best book in the series. I’m not saying it was bad but it wasn’t the best. Its one of those book were your reading series and you have to read it to understand the next book. Well, I think I need to admit to myself that I may have joined the Iron Fey and Evenfall series too late to fully appreciate it.Is there something going on we should know about, princeling?” I asked. “Are you in trouble again?” In the Iron Ravens, every single rank in the Chapter can be identified by the colour of the helmet. The Iron Ravens were originally identified in the Soulbound audio book by George Mann as a Second Founding Successor Chapter of the Raven Guard. The Chapter's forces were presumed lost on the world of Taltos.

A ‘thing’?” I blinked. “Uh, can you be a little more specific, princeling? What type of thing? Are we talking haunted toothbrush, evil mushroom person, carnivorous house? Maybe a sadistic potted plant? Tell me if I’m getting close.” Plunge into the fires of battle with Adrax Agatone and a solid wall of 20 resilient Intercessors. Then hammer the anvil of war with the gravis-armoured might of three Eradicators and three Aggressors. The Warforged Strike Force is as Salamanders as they come, and provides you with all the sturdy CORE Infantry you need to make good use of the chapter’s new secondary objective. I worried for him. Despite everything he’d done, he was still a good kid, wanting to redeem himself for the crimes of his past. But I saw that hint of darkness in the shadows that clung to his skin and curled around him like grasping claws. He reminded me of another faery who, at a time when rage and despair had driven his every decision, had turned on his former best friend and tried to destroy him. I saw hints of that grief in the faery before me now. He was very much like his father. The ending is a compelling cliffhanger, leaving off with a prophecy that definitely let's the Reader know this adventure is far from over. I made my way through scattered booths and tents, ignoring the vendors that called to me. A persistent kobold latched on to my sleeve, squawking something about his fine tools; I turned my head and grinned at him beneath my hood, and he let go like he’d grabbed a scorpion. Keirran frowned. “I’ve always been able to get the gremlins to listen to me, even before I became the Forgotten King,” he replied. “There’s no shortage of them in the mortal world, and they’ve always obeyed me before. At least one of them should have made it.”
