Jacqueline Wilson was born in Bath in 1945, but spent most of her childhood in Kingston-on-Thames. Not because they are telling jokes as such but situations, off-hand comments, and misunderstandings. All classic components of comedy. A lot of people loved Double Act by Jacqueline Wilson. Regarded by many as being one of her better written titles, it's still popular nearly twenty years after it was first published.
