About this deal

A Phoenix Lord is one of the greatest warriors of the Craftworld Aeldari and the leaders of one of their particular types of Aspect Warriors. Diresword - A Diresword is a specialised Power Weapon wielded by Dire Avenger Exarchs. These weapons incorporate an Aeldari Spirit Stone in the hilt that can sear the mind of a target.

Asurmen then travelled amongst more of the different craftworlds than any other member of his species, teaching those Craftworld Aeldari who wanted to learn the Dire Avengers' suite of combat skills. Those Craftworld Aeldari learned at the feet of their master, and in turn they assumed the mantle of Exarchs before spreading throughout the galaxy. The first Exarchs, the Asurya, the children of Asurmen, were the greatest of his students and went on to become the Phoenix Lords of the other Aspect Shrines, the first masters of the other specialised Asuryani combat disciplines. It was then that the different Warrior Aspects were formalised within the culture of the Asuryani craftworlds, taking as their model the skills and teachings of their founders. It is recorded in the Asuryata that Baharroth final death will come during the Rhana Dandra, fighting alongside his fellow Aspect Warriors, the final battle between Chaos and the Aeldari of the material universe that will end with the destruction of both. Prior to the Fall of the Aeldari, Asurmen was an Aeldari originally from the world of Eidafaeron named Iliathin, who lived an uneventful and boring life there like all his kind. Before the Fall, he was skeptical of the prophecies of doom for the Aeldari Empire being spread by those Aeldari who would become the Exodites.

On the planet of Stormvald in the Segmentum Tempestus, Maugan-Ra stood alone against a Tyranid swarm from Hive Fleet Leviathan and single-handedly triumphed. [2] If that type of roll involves one D6 (e.g. a hit roll), do not roll a dice; that roll is treated as an unmodified roll of 6. It is extremely well written and well paced. and if there are any other books coming out (which I think there are) and they are written by Gav Thorpe, then I thoroughly look forward to reading them.” 5 stars Similarly, Baharroth and the Swooping Hawks can swoop down (the clue’s in their name) and claim objectives deep into enemy territory, while Karandras and the Striking Scorpions can ambush unsuspecting opponents before claiming an objective.

First on the shopping list? A new wardrobe, of course! Woven from psycho-reactive materials that mould to their every movement, an Aspect Warrior’s sacred raiment offers protection beyond even the Guardians’ upgraded wargear. As such, every Aspect Warrior* now has the new Aspect Armour ability, which offers an impressive invulnerable save. Sword of Asur - Asurmen carries the first known Eldar Diresword, called the Sword of Asur, which contains the Spirit Stone of his long-dead brother, Tethesis, who was killed by a daemon, that he might continue to fight against the minions of the Great Enemy until the end of time.

Baharroth is believed to have been the finest pupil of Asurmen, the first Asuryani Exarch. He is the Winged Phoenix, the oldest of the Swooping Hawks and the first of the winged Exarchs. He was the most vibrant and youthful of the Phoenix Lords, revelling in the sensation of the sun on his wings. Aspect Helmet - Each warrior Aspect has its own distinctive helmet, and within each shrine the helmet may vary in form slightly, with correspondingly more elaborate versions for the shrine's Exarchs. As a standard Dire Avenger, the helmet is distinctively tall with a long top crest of exotic animal hair, often dyed to match the parent Craftworld's colours. By custom, it is this helmet that marks the Aspect Warriors as the protectors and avengers of their Craftworld. It bears the Dire Avengers Aspect's rune, the Mark of Asurmen, traced upon its forehead. The first Exarchs, the Asurya, the children of Asurmen, were the greatest of his students and went on to become the Phoenix Lords of the other Aspect Shrines, the first masters of the other specialised Aeldari combat disciplines. Now, the Craftworlds Eldar fly through space, seeking survival in a hostile universe, and fighting death with every fibre of their being. Their Craftworlds – entire nations bound in semi-organic matter, powered by psychic energy from their Infinity Circuits – are the last vestige of this once great power. Aeldari society has completely changed, focused now on control and discipline, as they refuse to fall to the same terrors which blighted the Eldar of the past.

The first Exarchs, the Asurya, the children of Asurmen, were the greatest of his students and went on to become the Phoenix Lords of the other Aspect Shrines, the first masters of the other specialised Aeldari combat disciplines. It was then that the different Warrior Aspects were formalised within the culture of the Aeldari Craftworlds, taking as their model the skills and teachings of their founders. Many Craftworlds Eldar characters are legends not only to the Eldar, but their names strike fear into their enemies’ hearts (if they have them). The Eldar mythic cycles tell of the legend of Karandras, "the Shadow Hunter," the mysterious Phoenix Lord of the Striking Scorpions Aspect. No one knows his origins or where he came from, for he was not the oldest or the most skilled of the Exarchs of the Striking Scorpions when he rose to become the Aspect's new master. It is said that this singular honour belongs to the one that came before him, Arhra, the "Father of Scorpions," the most sinister of all the Phoenix Lords. Arhra was lured to darkness and betrayed Asurmen and the other Asurya, the first Phoenix Lords, by bringing daemons into the First Shrine to wage war upon his fellows. Those loyal to Asurmen were defeated and scattered across the stars, but Arhra himself would eventually flee into the Webway, becoming "the Fallen Phoenix who burns with the dark light of Chaos." Whether he lives is still unknown, but many Eldar have their suspicions that after he began walking the Path of Damnation, Arhra fled to the Dark City of Commorragh where he became the first Dark Eldar Incubus Hierarch and founded the first Incubus shrine. Many Eldar believe that Arhra survived into the present and become Drazhar, the Master of Blades, the greatest champion of the Dark Eldar Incubi. It is also believed that Karandras was a Striking Scorpions Exarch, and the greatest student of Arhra, who took over control of the Aspect Shrine after the corruption of its Phoenix Lord. Karandras taught the Striking Scorpions the patience and discipline they needed so that they would not follow in their founder's wake and lose their immortal souls to Slaanesh, "She Who Thirsts," when their bloodlust and murderous desires overtook them. Karandras was last seen duelling for Drazhar for 17 standard days in 928.M41 amongst the shattered ruins of the ancient Eldar world of Zandros. Outnumbered and unable to defeat his former master in combat, Karandras artfully goaded his predecessor into a blind killing frenzy over the course of a gruelling seventeen-day battle. At a critical moment, the Shadow Hunter melted into a patch of darkness and disappeared entirely, leaving his nemesis to slaughter every one of his own disciples in a murderous rage. FFG Teaser for "Against the Great Enemy", supplement for Conquest Card Game (last accessed 25 May 2016)HeresyLab : They've got an Autarch that doesn't really fit with the traditionnal Eldar style, two seers, a Titan and, IIRC, a Warp Spider. Plus a bunch of other minis for other factions.

It’s not just Fire Dragons who can access this new cooking equipment – the new Autarch can ‘borrow’ one when they don’t feel like lugging around a Dark Reaper’s missile launcher. Dragon fusion guns are an even deadlier prospect in an Autarch’s hands, and pair very well with the extra mobility of an Autarch jump generator. Jain Zar was born Faraethil on the world of Eidafaeron shortly before the Fall of the Eldar. She had been left at the Kurnussei as an infant by her parents, spending her formative years as a blood-dancer gladiatrix performing for the gratification of her Master and thousands of spectators. She knew little of life outside the arena that she was largely ignorant of the Eldar Empire's pantheon of gods [8d] [15a] [15b].It’s not just Maugan Ra who gets a rule like this – all of his Phoenix Lord pals have something similar. Asurmen * and his Dire Avengers can advance to the midfield, merrily cutting down foes with their Avenger shuriken catapults before claiming an objective. What’s more, each of the six gets a substantial boost to their stats, befitting their status as mythical exemplars of war. Asurmen is capable of navigating the Webway thanks to his ship, the Stormlance. [Needs Citation] Images Other Exarch will instead choose to leave behind the ranged combat skills that defined their early days upon the Path of the Warrior and focus on their hand-to-hand combat techniques, choosing to wield a combination of either Shuriken Pistol and Diresword or Power Weapon and Shimmershield if the Exarch prefers to concentrate exclusively on his or her melee role. The universe of Warhammer 40k always exacts a price, however, and the one that the Eldar paid for their twisted ways and pride was one they paid in blood and terror – and one that the galaxy continues to pay. Where Baharroth passes, the ground burns with blinding white fire, for the weapons of the Hawk are many, and his eyes are sharp enough to spy evil wherever it may be found. This glare is often the first and last warning his victims are granted, as he plunges like a falcon to engage his opponents before leaping skywards once more.
