About this deal

I agree with other people that LEGO is trying to push the limit of becoming I profitable again; like the early 2000’s ?

The building sits on a 10x12 base and stands about 13cm tall. The bright orange and dark azure walls evoke the vibrantly painted buildings of the area, and the orange and dark tan 49307 PLATE 1X1X2/3, OUTSIDE BOWs make great roof tiles. From the product description and the “1” in the set name, LEGO is beginning a new cycle of collectable GWPs, and is the first in the LEGO Houses of the World collection. Cook Hall (the attached Haworth Center was built at the same time, in the same style). Looks like trash. The upstairs is furnished with a bed, chair, potted plant, colourful mat and a sideboard with a TV on top. The mix of architectural styles look rather strange when the three buildings are lined up next to each other but nevertheless if you have the first two you'll want to add this one to your collection. And to top it off, it’s a “meh” set of a house anyway; not something I would put on the shelves with the other pieces I have. Overall it's another very attractive building in the series which looks great standing next to the first one, although I'm struggling to think of somewhere you'd see the two architectural styles side-by-side in real life! Additionally, the LEGO’s online store has also updated to give us a look at 40584 Birthday Diorama, another upcoming GWP. Again, no availability or redemption details, but this looks like a fun little gift that will hopefully not be too hard to redeem.

I don’t know what happened in Australia, but it’s not a problem with government in the US. It’s a problem with government in California. They have a few really bad laws on the books that created this problem. One is that it’s too easy to challenge new construction, which was done to allow the little guy to stand up to corporate interests, but wealthy communities have weaponized in the spirit of NIMBY to keep affordable housing from dragging down real estate value. That said – I don’t think this is a must-have, so don’t succumb to FOMO as we’re only one week into 2023, and I’m sure LEGO will have plenty of other delights and surprises in-store for us! 40584 Birthday Diorama The cheese and chocolate bar on the sideboard suggests to me that we are in Switzerland rather than one of the other Alpine countries! A small bench and storage for skis surround the front door and I particularly like the tessellating logs in storage on the right. Thanks to the official images released by LEGO, we can now have a better grasp of the finer aspects of this premium LEGO collectible set.I don’t think there’s good value here, and this reeks of 76210 Hulkbuster where LEGO are trying ridiculous prices and increasing these thresholds without providing commensurate in return. Voorhees Hall, which is the third oldest building on Hope campus, and I assume fairly traditional Dutch architecture from the time. The chalet clearly belongs to a bodybuilder because the upstairs room is dominated by a vastly over-scaled weightlifting bench, something I've not seen in a set before.

It's always good to get a feel for how much free stuff you're getting with GWPs and in this case quite a lot, probably around 300-350, pieces.LEGO ?…. You want your new year resolution to be that you get sidelined for sales ?… because it looks like you’re trying really hard to do so. I know someone who did start building microscale MOCs of the Modular series. Then 10230 was released as a GWP that precisely duplicated his efforts…and stopped. He moved across the country soon after, so I have no idea if he ever expanded his own run.

Well, Argentina is at the far other end of South America, and this is supposed to represent that little bit that sometimes gets lumped in with North America, even though it’s technically on its own continental plate. The fronds of the palm tree add a welcome splash of colour, as do the vines growing up the side of the building.A gift for travel and architecture fans – This set can be given as a gift for anyone interested in different cultures And while parts quality has noticeably increased over the years with most of the important alternative brands, LEGO's has from my experience declined as described. As it can be useful to see how much stuff you're getting for free here's a picture showing the unopened bags:
