About this deal

Anyway, I like it and it might definitely see some use from me. It's a good fragrance, great if you take price into consideration, but I don't think it will land anywhere close to my favorites. SMELL: Pineapple Jasmine soap. Car Wash air freshener. "High-end" dog cologne from groomers. Pineapple Fresca. This is AMAZING. It's for when you want to wear Sauvage EDT but to somewhere where you'd have to dress a little bit better like a high end club or a fancy dinner party. Either way, they're both great. Amazing juicy pineapple opening with some sexy spices and sweetness.

Overspray the shit out of this if you’re brave enough to buy it and not stand the burned plastic smell that stays for 2-3 minutes.

If you’re torn between Rave Now and This scent go with whichever you find cheapest they are essentially identical, except the bottle. I keep seeing Aventus thrown around as comparison, I think you guys are off on that by a pretty big margin. We gotta get away from saying all pineapple is Aventus it’s like saying all Nikes are Jordans. Regardless it’s really good, really cheap, and mass appealing! Apart from smelling mouth-wateringly and realistically edible, it also has the benefit of being super versatile, fitting most seasons and situations. Plus, it comes in a surprisingly classy bottle, made of a nice dark glass with a golden raised metallic horse design going on, and a lightweight, but magnetic, cap.

The drydown is a bit different from Elixir but the opening smells exactly like elixir, and with probably my favorite looking bottle in my collection (it's simply beautiful) I don't think I have any cons apart from the drydown being less spicy than elixir.Hardly any progression. Top note barely present, except for pungent ethereal saffron impressions . Heart note quite intense, then mellowing and finally remaining as a leathery, peachy skin scent. Woody tones are then sometimes perceptible. Saffron is always more or less perceptible. Performance is very good for such a cheapie. I can still smell it on my skin hours later despite having gone noseblind. Projection is very good. My friend from school told me she could smell it as she was coming down the stairs a few metres behind me even though i had just entered the building. It's pretty linear once the menthol-balsamic aspect has subsided. The longevity is moderate, around 4 hours on my skin, and the projection is medium. After about half a day of wearing it, I can tell that it doesn't project much; although it seems strong at first, it becomes that skin-friendly scent that lasts a long time. I see it as an amiable companion during the evening and night outings. Excellent for events, meetings and dinners, but not suitable for clubbing. A fall and winter cologne, the chilly climate goes well with its smoky, leathery facets. Ultimately, this is the fragrance that meets my taste.

Raspunde At a point, it’s asif the sweetness is toned down, and you’re left with a matured, unapologetic dark patchouli and a low dose of Vetiver, mixed with a noticeable woody note. But then again, it becomes sweet. The opening lasts just long enough for me, and when the woody notes begin to settle in, I’m just overjoyed by the luxury that this fragrance exudes. It’s a really nice balance between playful and serious. I enjoy the term “eastern fragrances for western noses” because that perfectly sums this one up for me. I wouldn’t recommend it for any one season over another, but so far this summer, I’m getting great-ish performance if I don’t work up too much of a sweat. On days where I have spent my time in A/C controlled environments, I would get whiffs of myself in the air, and the pineapple note sings a little harmony under the creamy, just almost smoky and mildly spicy woods.I agree with inFidel and others who smell Lamiaceae. He says lavender but I smell methol in the top and pretty strongly. I believe it's the Patchouli with is also in the Lamiaceae family. I really enjoy this. I smell it less in projection but nose to skin it's strong. The base has a powdery and spicy vanilla undertone, not sweet or gourmand. A warm amber serves to create a sense of cosiness. The initial burst of balmy skin undertones transforms into a tamed powdery skin. No talcum powder from iris or violet leaves, but a coumarin dustiness. The oud is now just a memory that slowly fades away. The bottle shape and design isn't too bad especially if you remove the gold bow tie ornament. It's easy to remove. It's has a nice feel and weight to it and it doesn't come across as cheap. If Lattafa changed out the gloss gold for matte or brushed gold, silver or even bronze they'd have a more mainstream product on their hands. On the deep dry down, it starts to mellow down into this kind of smokey and creamy sweetness with a very noticeable Amber accord. Short version: Asad is a less heavy, less refined, but way more flexible fragrance than Elixir that is worth giving a test run if you like Elixir. Also, if you don't want to pay for or can't afford Elixir, Asad is literally 95% cheaper.
